For the Next in Line AU, how often does Molly switch for her regular ghost form to her apprentice form, and is there an inbetween?
I uh, I was not expecting to get an ask about this AU (O_O') (tho feel free to send 'em if you have any other questions). Mostly because I get the feeling I gave too little information about it when I made that post. (In this situations, I either barf the whole plot, or I compress stuff so much that barely anything makes any sense at all. I tried for the middle ground, but I'm pretty sure I failed 😮💨🤷🏻♂️)
I'm still shaking a bit 😂
WARNING: I'm about to ramble, so some of the information might be a bit disjointed
Anyway, to answer your question:
On a daily basis after accepting The Chairman's offer (she has lessons to attend to, about stuff like the Ghost World's History and its laws, paranormal threats & imbalance and how to deal with them, etc. The Ruler position is no joke: they have to care for a lot of souls), with her soul going to the Ghost World while her body, which is a lot more self sufficient than in canon, goes to school. And no, there's no in between form.
But the tall fiery ghost you're (probably) thinking about is not Molly's apprentice form
This is Molly's apprentice form:
The most nondescript ghost you could imagine
A white sheet (a special garment simply known as The White Sheet (I'm bad at coming up with names) which both let's everyone know the ghost wearing it is the potential future leader of the Ghost World, and keeps their actual identity a secret, preventing anyone from learning the pupil's identity unless they tell that person themselves (this is mostly to give them the option of having a private life afterlife). It also gives a boost to the apprentice's power, making it reach it's peak faster than it would've done naturally, but by no means increasing the amount of power per say, all while keeping said power from getting out of control by keeping the apprentice from accessing most of it. At least, until they overpower it, losing their pupil form as a consequence, but also gaining their leader form (which still hides their identity). Molly achieves this a lot sooner than what The Chairman anticipated (around a literal century), due to an incident involving a lot of flaming skeletons, a panicking swoopy haired boy, and a bony jerk (but this getting long enough as it is, so I'll talk about that in another occasion), and with it came an unforeseen issue. That being that you can't really fit more than around five souls inside the same living body without said body getting permanent sequels, and anything above ten will cause the body to straight up explode. Molly's soul is currently (as in, at the time they discover the issue) as potent as a hundred average human souls. Because it is her body, it has a built in resistance to her own intensity, but there's a limit to it. This means that Molly goes from having the option of splitting herself whenever she feels like it, to needing to remain separate for at least long enough for her body to recover from the strain that containing her own soul puts it through. Unless she's fine with incinerating herself from the inside out 😐🤷🏻♂️ (my train of thought has officially derailed. Wrre the hell was I?)
Ah right: nondescript lookin' ghost, covered with a white sheet, wearing three shackles (that drag them straight to their mentor if they go scare mode while in pupil form. They are training to be leader of the Ghost World, and they should be a role model, so they must have a good reason to do that unless they wanna get in trouble for abusing their (tentative (being a pupil, or even getting a leader form, doesn't guarantee becoming ruler. Lord Doom would know)) position), black, empty sockets with white lights for pupils, and no remarkable facial features.

Satoru Gojo
You woke up in what felt like the very early into the day with a slightly alarmed sixth sense going haywire in your mind, and as you came to, you quickly realised why.
A pair of intense blue eyes hovered over you; wide, focused and almost erratic. You should have known that it was just your boyfriend.
“Happy birthday!” he eagerly announced, his energy high despite your own still being quite low. Your eyes rolled over to the alarm clock, finding that it was just barely six in the morning.
Your lips twitched into a smile as you couldn’t help but find his determined enthusiasm at least somewhat endearing. “Thanks, but why are you up so early?”
“Because,” he continued to almost jitter, his body shaking from intense excitement, “I couldn’t wait with my perfect gift for you.”
You yawned, propping yourself up to your elbows before blinking at him. “D-dare I ask?”
Satoru’s smile widened as you focused on him intently now—just as planned! Clearing his throat, he however thought more about it and started to get cold feet, his voice suddenly seeming less than confident, “…You won’t laugh will you?”
“I can’t make any promises but for you I’ll do my best,” you replied.
Satoru’s confidence quickly rebounded within an instant and he produced a small velvet blue box from behind his back. He dramatically presented it to you, pushing it right up to your face.
“For you…” he continued to say, his gestures exaggerated.
Almost cautiously, you propped the lid of the box open, revealing a… glass sphere. You stared at it for a moment, trying to retain your politeness, knowing that there must have been something special about it because Satoru was oddly serious when it came to gifts. However try as you might, you couldn’t find a single logical explanation. Maybe you were just too tired.
You held it up to inspect it further in an attempt to decipher the gift, finding that when the light hit it just right, the glass sphere filled with a beautiful ethereal glow, filling up with an almost deep blue colour.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?” Satoru asked you, pleased to find that you have figured out how to see its true potential. “It’s called a sapphire nebula and when held up to the light, it can represent my beautiful blue eyes and in a darker room with the right conditions applied, to even represent something close to an infinite void in appearance.”
You blinked, nodding slowly. It was a beautiful piece, but you couldn’t help but think of one thing in particular. “So my gift is something that reminds me of you?”
“Of course…!” he smiled, but something about his tone of voice implied that there was more to his words.
“Thank you Satoru, it’s very pretty,” you replied, genuinely meaning it.
“Of course, I’m also going to take you out to a fully cleared out private table at that place you like,” he almost boasted in announcement, “…and there's this place that’s opened up recently where you can go design your own plushie, if you want to do that.”
“I’d love to,” you replied, “don’t worry, I’ll make mine resemble a mini you so it can guard that mysterious orb you gave me.”
He couldn’t help but smile in anticipation, “I can hardly wait.”
Suguru Geto
Upon waking up in the late morning, the first thing that you noticed was that Suguru was still in bed with you despite it creeping closer and closer to midday. In a flash, you were up in an instant, nudging at him in an attempt to somehow wake him up.
While you succeeded, he simply responded by pulling you down, reeling you closer into his chest in a claiming hug.
“Suguru…” you replied, your words slightly muffled as you spoke into his skin, “you’re gonna be late—“
“—don’t worry,” he soothed you, “I’ve cleared my schedule for today and the girls are with a trusted sitter. I’d rather spend my day with you on your birthday than have you spend it alone.”
You blinked in surprise, suddenly relaxing against him and pulling your head back. Oh, that’s right, it was your birthday. “A-ah, my birthday. Yes. I totally knew that was today.”
“You’re silly,” he laughed softly, pulling you closer back into his chest, “don’t worry about today, sleep in with me for a bit longer.”
Succumbing to sleep for about two hours longer, by the time you were both up, you were both fully and wide awake. Suguru quickly got dressed after a shower as you did too, finalising both of your efforts by helping his robe sit correctly on his shoulders.
“You’re so good to me,” he murmured, his voice raising in slight volume as he spoke, “that’s why I have prepared you something special.”
Still in the process of waking up, you wondered what this could possibly entail. You stared at him as he combed out the knots in his hair with his fingers before leading you off to the kitchen and dining area.
Taking a moment to prepare what he needed, he stepped away for a moment, only to come back with a small platter of neatly arranged desserts including anpan, daifuku and even manjū.
“Did you.. make these?” you asked, staring at the arrangement.
“Yes,” he replied calmly, “I remember you enjoying these especially, so I tried my hand at making you them.”
You tried one of them, your stomach already growling from the lack of breakfast. Taking a bite out of the daifuku first, the mochi feeling perfectly soft in your mouth and the filling tasting just as you’d like.
“And you made these?” you repeated, almost in surprise because of how good it all was.
Suguru hummed, seeming proud, “Yeah. I guess being an impromptu dad to the girls has made me good at this sort of thing. You know how they are about their sweet treats.”
“I’m very glad that I also get to be included in your efforts,” you said, taking another confection from the platter.
“Of course,” he said, patiently holding the tray that he prepared, feeling a little concerned that his efforts were being consumed at such a rapid pace but if you were happy, then he was happy, “anything for you. Happy birthday.”
Kento Nanami
Not too long after waking up alone in bed, you were met with the smell of coffee and something sweet and delicious wafting into the room. Albeit still groggy, you slowly got up and threw on something casual before descending down the hall and into the kitchen, following the scent.
In the kitchen, Kento was in the midst of finishing up a stack of pancakes before turning around to greet you. His hair was slightly tousled and despite wearing an apron, his clothes were stained from captions splatters and spills.
Before you could even reply, he sat you down at the breakfast table, sliding in a plate with the most perfect pancakes you had ever seen with some neatly cut fruit arranged on top. He then placed a cup of coffee in your hand and a vase of flowers as the final finishing piece in the middle of the table.
Taking a sip of coffee to wake yourself up, you then tried the pancakes. Before you could even speak, Kento said something first.
“Happy birthday, sweetheart,” he smiled, sitting down at the table too. Seeming a little exhausted but his eyes seemed to relax as they settled on you.
“Thank you,” you replied, “this is so nice…”
“I wanted to make sure that your day started off just right,” Kento replied, taking off the apron and rolling up his sleeves.
“You succeeded,” you commented, “this also tastes incredible.”
“Yeah? I’m glad. I’ll tell you what, if you get dressed after, we can go pick up a pastry we both like from that bakery we found a week ago,” he added, “and then anything you want. I made sure that the entire place is spotless, so you have nothing to worry about today.”
Finally fully awake, you couldn’t help but succumb to the widest possible smile. “You’re incredible, I’d love all of that.”
“Then that can be arranged,” he replied, leaning in to straighten out the flowers in the vase, “as long as you’re happy, then that’s the best thanks in the world.”

✿ synopsis | sometimes, love letters might just be the way to get someone to like you (or maybe it’s because they’ve liked you for the entire time).

✿ wc | 1.4k
✿ notes | hello! this is a sequel to sincerely, yours and i highly suggest reading that first but this can also be read as a stand alone fic too hehe <3 ngl i kinda got carried away writing this ;0; as always,, lmk ur thoughts on this one :D
m.list
if you’d ask him, haechan wouldn’t know how long he’s been staring at the mirror, picking out clothes from his closet before tossing them into the far corners of his room.
each second passes by and the more his irritation grows from the fact nothing seems to be just right. he knows he’s just going for a casual trip with you, and that’s all it’ll ever be, but the back of his mind itches at the thought of being with you for a couple of days straight.
sure, you’ve seen him wear all sorts of things back from when the two of you were little. the first time you met, he was sporting a shinchan shirt in the brightest green you’d ever seen. he even used to wear this one jacket that’s seen it’s fair share of days (correction, he still does), and you’ve always complimented how much it suits him.
you’d honestly be the last person to care about what he’d show up in, and yet, he wants to look the best for you. he doesn’t know why this is exactly the case, but he’s never questioned it too much to care either.
haechan then pulls up a purple hoodie littered with embroidered patches from his closet by the hanger, recognizing it almost immediately. not because it’s an item he’s worn so often, but because you borrowed it more than once before. he still remembers how the fabric would completely engulf your figure, obviously being too big on you. though, you always tell him that’s exactly what you prefer.
he always thought you looked cute in it anyways.
carefully folding it up, haechan packs it into his small suitcase — the hoodie now being the first piece of clothing that rests inside.
checking the clock, he doesn’t have much time left before needing to pick you up and painstakingly tries to gather all the things he needs to bring for the trip, rushing with you in mind. this trip would be marked as the first time you would travel together. well, more like the first trip without your parents coming along since they deem you’re both old enough to not get into stupid situations. at least, that’s what they wanted to assume from the both of you.
okay, so maybe he should be a little more nervous than he is. whatever, the jitters will come hit him straight in the face soon enough when he least expects it.
he finishes stuffing his suitcase full of items, albeit a bit sloppily and not at all like he originally planned for, but it’ll have to do. he’d rather have a messy bag filled to the brim with wrinkly clothes that might not even be fit for the weather than be late to the time you both agreed he’d pick you up on.
-x-
haechan soon arrives at the front of your doorstep pretty much on the dot, hand instinctively reaching into the pocket of his jeans to pull out a replica key with a mini teddy bear charm dangling from it. you gave it to him for when he ever wanted to spontaneously visit you and it’s something he treasures dearly, knowing it symbolizes the trust you place in him.
eagerly, he rushes up to your room, assuming you’re still inside. “y/n- are you ready to go?” he questions, sounding a little flustered to see the area empty. it isn't like you to leave your room unattended. did something happen-
“i’m in the bathroom! i’ll be out soon.” he hears you yell out soon after, placing his heart at ease.
“oh thank god,” he mumbles softly, not knowing what he’d do if you were gone.
he takes the time to look around your room, noting how practically nothing has changed since he last visited when he was much younger. there are still glow in the dark stars that vaguely shine on your ceiling, ones he helped you stick because you couldn’t reach the ceiling even with the height offered by your bed. hell, even the wooden cabinet you use hasn’t changed for the past years and is kept in good condition thanks to your care.
it’s like he’s reminiscing everything he’s known about you all at once. every little detail only he knows as your best friend.
there is, however, one small thing that sticks out of place in his eyes. a small, well-kept box rests below your desk, one he’s never seen before nor heard you talk about.
he believed you always told him about everything that went on in your life, so why hasn’t he known about this? perhaps he had been mistaken all along.
the thought can’t help but form the start of a crack on the notion of him being your best friend. maybe someone else had already taken that spot away from him right under his nose and he had realized just a bit too late.
he didn’t want to be the person who would limit you to who you make friends with, quite the opposite actually, but jealousy serves to be a weakness in him – slowly seeping into his mind and clogging his train of thought. he could only wish he wasn’t feeling this way right now.
it's that same jealousy that urges him to pick up the box, crouch down and quickly take the lid off. there, he finds the dainty envelopes stored away with utmost care and attention to detail.
each one is signed with ‘sincerely, yours’ written at the bottom left in a perfectly executed cursive font, and that’s when he realizes they’re letters written with someone in mind.
he sighs, returning back to the times you’d nag him to learn lettering with you. he would never take the lessons seriously, but you always did. so this was why you wanted to learn how to write so prettily, he quickly assumes.
his heart grows heavier the more he rummages through the box, the realization of the envelopes being love letters sinking in slowly but surely into his soul.
you like someone, he thought to himself.
so it wasn’t even someone stealing his title of best friend. it was someone who had stolen your heart. that someone was the person he yearned to be for so long, and now, it was never going to be him seeing as you’ve even committed to writing down letters.
since when did you even write letters? haechan scoffs to himself bitterly at the thought.
“hyuck, i’m done. we should get-“ you come out of the bathroom unannounced, not even giving him a chance to gather his thoughts. “…going.”
he probably caught you just as off guard, judging by the way your shoulders stiffened up and your line of sight instantly focused on the letters that now rest in the palms of his hands. he already pieced together the fact he was never supposed to know about this, much less rummage through your things without consent.
what was he even going to tell you? surely he could not get himself out of this situation with an excuse after being caught like a raccoon searching for scraps in the neighbor’s trash can at night. instead, haechan does the next best thing he could think of.
“…y/n? what are these?” well, to be fair, he never said his idea wasn’t outright stupid.
truthfully, he doesn’t know whether asking you directly was the right thing to do. yes, he knows he’s the one at fault in this situation, yet this was the only way he could hear a proper answer from you.
he just wanted to pull the bandaid off his heart and accept the fact you have feelings for someone else. any form of hatred you throw his way after all this, he will gladly accept.
with a deep breath, you finally answer him with “they’re… sincerely yours.”
and for the second time today, haechan’s brain goes blank. did you just say all those letters were for him? no, he probably interpreted your words incorrectly.
“mine?” he utters out moments later, voice still laced with confusion.
you sheepishly nod your head along to his words, further confirming what he had originally perceived about those letters were oh so wrong. his heart that was once sinking was slowly coming back above the tide, meeting the bright, blue sky.
his lips curl upwards into a smile unbeknownst to him, however, you’re quick to notice – taking that as a sign your feelings may have not been so one-sided after all.
“can i… read them?” haechan looks at you with stars in his eyes and you wonder if that’s a reflection of the glow in the dark stars that decorate your room’s ceiling or if it's just him glistening under the sunlight that barely manages to shine into your room.
just how could you decline when he’s acts like this in front of you?
“after our trip?” you propose, “at least you’ll have something to look forward to when we get back.”
“okay, but does that mean i get to call you mine?”
now you’re the one flustered, heat creeping up to the apples of your cheeks. just how much did his confidence surge knowing the letters were for him? “i don’t know- i mean, you haven't asked me out yet.”
“oh baby, you genuinely don't know how long i’ve waited for this moment.”

A bit inspired after hearing Speak Now :D
If you like to read more - check out my Masterlist
Summary: Falling in love with your best friend scared you so much that when he confessed his feelings, a series of misunderstandings followed leading him to almost marry a princess from Alfheim.
Word count: 1570
Pairing: Prince!Loki x Asgardian!Reader
Warnings: Angst, bit of fluff
─── ⋅ ∙ ∘ ☽ ༓ ☾ ∘ ⋅ ⋅ ───
You have known Loki since you were kids. Being a noble-born, you had the privilege to visit the palace and spend your time reading books and practicing magic along with him. He was your best friend and you knew you were his too.
Realizing your growing feelings towards him as you both reach young adulthood, you were alarmed that this might put your friendship at risk. You were concerned that it's only your heart flutters every time he walks around the room, how you feel special when he shows you secret places around the palace that only he knows just so you could both read your books together in silence.
You were worried that he won't reciprocate those feelings and outright reject you - ending your friendship with him. You tried so hard to hide away these feelings, but the more you hid them, the stronger it grows.
Unbeknownst to you, Loki also felt the same - the same growing emotions and the same fear of getting rejected. You don't know how much he appreciates seeing your wide-eyed wonder as you gaze at the moonlit skies of Asgard. How he's the reason you laugh every time he tells you of his crazy adventures and mischief around the palace.
With the pressure your parents are putting on you in finding a suitable partner, you decided to receive offers from suitors, thinking it's a good idea to distract you. You obviously told Loki about this, and he didn't really like the idea of you meeting random men who you don't even have a connection with.
After several failed attempts in finding a suitor, you gave up. Most were just creepy guys who either just wants you for your body or for your family's position. There are a few who seemed decent but they haven't really followed through after your first meeting.
Most really didn't care how about your wits and magic - they only want a meek and submissive trophy wife to bed - this irked Loki just thinking about it. In a pang of jealousy, he decided to finally confess his feelings to you once and for all.
Odin already nagged him for quite some time about getting married, stating the political advantages for a person in his position. He tried holding it off as much as he can since he was well aware his heart already belongs to you. But he can't go on with all this uncertainty, not now when Odin has plans to betroth him to a princess from Alfheim.
He invited you for a walk in his mother's garden. You were still frustrated with your failed attempts in dating and you were ranting all about it to Loki when you noticed his stern expression staring at you, You asked him what was wrong as you both stopped in your tracks to face each other. He leaned closer to you, his one hand cupping the small of your back, the other cupping your face. His warm breath caressed your face before his lips lock into yours for a kiss - your first kiss. Your eyes slowly shut as your tongues snaked against each other, moaning in each other's mouths. What could be more perfect than this?
It felt like time has stopped at that moment. Only the moon and the starry sky bore witness. You almost melted in his arms, only to be replaced with a wave of panic when a stray thought came to mind. Was he just doing this out of pity because you can't find a suitor? You pushed him away as your eyes stared at him - like a cornered prey. You felt your whole body jittered and before he could even explain himself, you ran straight home - not even looking back.
Loki was perplexed - he didn't know what went wrong but it was a clear sign of rejection for him. His head hung low at what just happened, solidifying his resolve to move on from you and entertain the betrothal offered to him instead.
Months passed and you never saw Loki again. You spent your days secluded from the rest of the world that your parents were starting to get worried about your condition. You heard from the servants that he met the Alfheim princess and he was fallen head over heels for her and that he wanted to get married as soon as possible.
You received an invitation to his wedding, written in the finest parchment with fancy lettering in the darkest ebony ink. It felt like daggers piercing straight through your heart hearing such news and seeing his name along with another in an announcement of marriage but then again, he was your best friend and he deserved to have your blessing on his wedding day.
Despite looking deathly pale and sickly, you managed to find enough energy to consume food on the days leading to his wedding. With barely enough energy, you managed to fit into a beautiful emerald gown and covered yourself with makeup, your hair carefully coiffed with the help of your chambermaids.
You arrived at the hall, people from different realms were there but no sign of Loki. Soon, different men started to hound you - them knowing full well that your hand is still open for marriage and they wanted to take this opportunity to converse with you. It felt overwhelming having not seen a lot of people these past few months when suddenly they made way for a particular person to walk towards you.
Loki - he looked exquisite in his fine Asgardian garb. His hair was neatly slicked back and he never looked more regal than before. You mustered your courage to give him a tight smile and a curtsy.
"Prince Loki" you bowed down, "Congratulations on your marriage"
"Walk with me," he commanded.
You strolled in silence for a bit in the garden outside, until he broke the deafening quietness with his soft voice, "I'm sorry for what happened that night. I shouldn't have done that"
"I understand, it's alright. I knew you were just doing it for me out of pity - for my lack of marriage potential," you half-jokingly said.
"Darling, it's that what you think it was?" his brows furrowed
"Is it not?"
"No - why didn't you tell me?"
"I was scared, I've been in love with you and I don't want to lose our friendship because of it"
He cupped your face, which caught you by surprise, "Darling, why do you think I scared all those suitors away? I was jealous - and I've been falling hard for you, that's why I invited you that night - to confess my feelings but I was at loss for words and I hoped that kiss would clear things up - but it did not."
"you're saying - you had feelings... romantic feelings for me too?"
"Yes - and I still do. I thought when you broke away from that kiss in sheer terror, you were outright rejecting me. It broke my heart so bad, and I tried reaching out to you but your servants told me that you won't see anyone. That is when I decided on accepting my father's proposal of getting married to the princess,"
You felt tears flowing out, heat emanating from your eyes upon hearing his words, everything was just a series of misunderstandings and it was too late for you - both of you.
A servant walked towards you, and you hurriedly wiped down your tears. He informed Loki that the ceremony was about to start. He looked at you crestfallen after hearing your confession, but you faintly smiled and urged him to go inside first.
You wanted to break down and cry there but you knew that had to wait for now. You took several deep breaths before going back inside, making sure there are no traces of your tears left, and finding yourself a seat just as the ceremony was about to start.
Loki was standing so wonderfully in front as his bride slowly walks down the aisle. They are a perfect match, highborn royalties - you could only imagine yourself in her place but you halt the thought as it started crushing your heart again.
He took her hand and whispered something in his ear, which made him look in your direction. You smiled at him before they both turned towards the officiant.
A part of you wanted to stop the wedding, now that you both know that you are in love with each other - but it was too late to speak now. Your head drops as they were about to start their vows - there was silence and a gasp shortly followed after.
The bride was walking towards your direction and gently grabbed you by the wrist and whispered, "he told me all about you - I think you both deserve to have a second chance in love" she gently smiled.
"But.. the wedding... all these people" you protested.
"I didn't even want to have this wedding in the first place knowing full well I am not marrying for love, Loki made me realize that. Rest assured, all is in control and there would still be a wedding," she winked as she hands you the bunch of flowers she was holding.
Your face blushed as she leads you to the aisle, and hands you over to Loki.
The ceremony ended with you marrying your best friend, sealing it with kisses, rings, and vows of forever, and merriment following shortly after.

so our interaction was extremely fast because photo ops are like 10-30 seconds boom done. but holy SHIT so first of all jensen is like. embarrassingly gorgeous irl like. he is prettier than his prettiest photo shoots. which was disconcerting- so i was in line and they have music playing REALLY LOUD to fuck over anyone trying to record audio when they’re not supposed to but jensen was vibing between people. and i was doing a little air guitar with one hand as a nervous jitter and he did the one handed air guitar and saw me in line. so that was cool
SO ANYWAY i’m getting up there and i have the tiny stickers that are in the photo and a handler comes up when i’m like almost next up and she’s like hey you can’t have them stick those on their clothing, but you can put them on their fingers. and i was like cool cool cool— and then it was my turn and jensen was staring at me and like I KNOW that they’re just some guys but. lord. eye contact. so i pass him the first sticker and explained like here put these on and then just hug! and our hands brushed when i gave him the sticker and misha took his and was beaming. they SMELL SO GOOD like especially jensen, i’m trying to figure out what it is but it’s like warm and also floral and also earthy. whatever. they’re firm as fuck. like i had my arms around their waists and misha is a brick shithouse apparently like genuinely. and then they were giving me a squeeze and i was walking away beaming like an idiot
i didn’t even REALIZE that misha had stuck his on his face until i got the photo back later :D

hi im a smurfs fan who thinks about and writes about brainy constantly and i have some thoughts on your self shipping stuff. good ones and neutral ones! mostly about brainy's anxieties.
something that's very obvious to me is that he's very lonely and desperate for attention. in the 80s cartoon, his only friend is clumsy, and in the 2021 cartoon, his only friend is smurfblossom. so seeing your art of the two of you being cute and romantic together makes me happy because now he's getting attention from multiple people and in both platonic and romantic ways! and he's less lonely!
canonically, brainy is very rude about the relationship between handy and marina because marina isn't a smurf and he thinks they're incompatible bc of this. "east is east and west is west, and never the twain shall smurf." therefore, if he fell for your self-insert, i think he would be super panicked about that, refuse to admit that he was doing the same thing he mocked handy for doing, and would repress his emotions for a while. it's very likely that after falling for your character, he would avoid her until she confronted him. even if he managed to admit it he'd probably keep it a secret from the village. he's a very anxious little fellow.
brainy's very anxious about romance in general. in smurfily ever after he gave a whole speech to woody about how terrifying the concept of marriage was, and made woody faint. he's very anxious surrounding the concept of romance. i can imagine that he rants to clumsy about how this romance is a Bad Idea and he really shouldn't be doing it but he keeps doing it anyways and he doesn't know why... and then clumsy, who's bad at keeping secrets, accidentally lets another smurf know that brainy is dating a human and that's how the village finds out.
imagine your self-insert trying to read brainy's books, but since they're just endless nonsensical drivel about his own ego, she can barely get through a single page. but she perseveres because she loves him.
thats all i have to say. i love people self shipping with brainy because i know he would love the attention, and it also increases the amount of people who love brainy. also your art style is very very very cute.
Hello! And let me start by saying that your art is very very cute as well! :D And I always find myself re-reading your Brainy posts from time to time and I just enjoy how in-depth your stuff is about him!
And I agree, he is very lonely and desperate for any kind of attention. So it makes me happy as well to see Brainy getting positive attention no matter the type of relationship he’s in!
The main thing about my self ship with Brainy is the whole ‘breaking the rules’ theme around it. The whole idea of Brainy falling for someone of a different species amuses me at the sheer fact that Papa Smurf would probably be against it so of course Brainy has to be too. But his feelings gets in the way. And due to this Brainy is conflicted with not only wanting to make Papa Smurf happy but also his own happiness as well. So he ends up sneaking around in a secret relationship behind the other Smurfs’ backs. So yes, he would be very paranoid of being found out.
The part where Brainy states that “the key to a happy marriage is an overwhelming mind-boggling wedding” line cracks me up still because it shows that Brainy would probably enjoy the whole idea of having a big wedding (mostly for all the attention they usually bring and you know how he is lol) but the bit with Woody and how Brainy is talking about wedding jitters and how each partner might have some nasty little habits they don’t know about and how so many thing could go wrong and the fears that comes with it does show that he would be very anxious about romance in general, so I agree! And because Brainy never knows how to keep quiet about things the relationship with my sona does get found out.
And I was just thinking the other day about how my sona would at first be excited to read something Brainy wrote only to end up just sitting there struggling with the first few pages at how ego driven the books are haha!
But overall thank you, I’m glad you enjoy my ship with him and love meeting others who enjoy his character as well!!

Hee hoo ask time
7, 9 and 11 for Kelth, and 8 and 15 for Sufford! Sorry if that's too many, you gave me tools to ask for OC lore without having to be smart and i am enjoying this power immensely. Anyway if it's too many just pick what you wanna answer most :D
>:D i am having so many excited-jitters about this whole thing. tingly. i hadn't actually thought about the questions in relation to my own guys very much which. shouldn't surprise me as much but. hee
OKAY OKAY TO WORK rubs hands
Kelth, 7: What is your favourite thing about this character? well one of the first things about them is that i wanted them to have something to do with programming. because i'm a programmer and i needed more self-insert OCs in my arsenal. SPECIFICALLY i was imagining what it'd be like for someone ingame to try organize their void relic shit without a google sheet. and that kind of. DRASTICALLY snowballed. into kind of this whole blog. there are a lot of smaller things but this one is the one that makes me smile the quickest & most joyfully (angst potential is a close second but that's a more evil grin)
Kelth, 9: Do they keep in contact with old classmates/friends/other Tenno? What is their connection? well shit uh. i haven't thought about this before so this is shiny new lore (and part of why i love ask games). they don't keep in contact, they don't reach out by themselves, because social contact requirements wise they're fulfilling all their needs with Ordis & the warframes already, and they weren't fantastic friends with the other kids to start with. nothing like bullying, just... they weren't exactly included by the others in stuff. they fit in enough to not be bullied, but not enough to be included. but if they're contacted by someone they used to know (and, if we're going with they both remember The Old Days) they'll be polite & nice & maybe even genuinely enjoy it for a bit. but their social battery would drain fast
Kelth, 11: Are they comfortable jumping out of their Warframe and showing their own bodies to others? Why (not)? HAHA NO. Noooo Kelth very much prefers to HIDE. Kelth does NOT like the vendors that deny their frame access. Does NOT appreciate them. Kelth isn't tall, and they get tired fast, and if they gotta get out of their frame it's already a place where the frame can't go either so they don't have backup of any kind with them except Ordis in their earpiece. Outside of a frame, they're pretty much only comfortable on the Orbiter. Or, if they're alone with just the frame(s) they brought, out in the open, sometimes. The sun & wind & soft ground can feel nice, though Ordis gets on their ass about sunscreen & insect lotion if they stay too long.
Sufford, 8: Do they have any hobbies? Sufford spends a decent chunk of his non-mission time training or meditating, though for fun, (please hold, new lore being generated) he likes drawing. Sometimes, he'll design cool-looking blades, and once or twice he's convinced Ordis to build whatever he made up in the Foundry. Otherwise, it's a lot of landscape & creature drawings. I think he also likes to collect cool small rocks if he can
Sufford, 15: Do they have anything that still ties them back to their days as human? His whole fighting style, to be honest. He's always been a guard, though now he only has one small charge. but now i'm thinking if he perhaps has an Object. i reckon the orokin let him keep his sword if only so they wouldn't have to requisition him a new one. or maybe a portrait of his old family. maybe he had a little sister who he lost track of completely during the old war...
#ALSO. which one of us started hee hoo'ing first. i've been WONDERING.#did you rub off on me or me on you.#or did we both evolve that independently.#THANK YOU FOR KNOCKING MY HEAD DOWN TO THINK MORE ABOUT SUFFORD HE DESERVES IT BUT MY BRAIN IS FULL OF VINCE#my brain keeps trying to go like#excalibur lore? you mean Sad Umbra Thoughts Time? and i keep having to whack it off that course but it's Not Working Very Well#but sufford seems like a guy who used to have a little sister. it's the patience (<- has two little sisters who are also twins and devils)#ask game answers#kelth#sufford

SOUR CANDY
part iv: dungeon master
E. munson x fem!reader
Synopsis: back in Hawkins for spring break, the reader is back from college. She gets sucked into the madness again for the fourth time with her best friend and younger friends. Plus an unexpected and unwelcome face.
Type: fixit fic, angst/comfort, enemies to lovers trope
Warnings: cursing as always, reader always in a pickle, insecure/jealous reader, clumsy reader, brief mention of blood, backstory backstory backstory, mention of a razor (teenage shaving mishaps), Eddie growing up headcanons, silly litte mentions of sour patch kids, angst.
Words: 4k (wowza)
Authors note: i think it’s the moment everyone has been waiting for? Reader x Eddie in the flesh??? I had fun with this one. I just like imagining the backstory to Eddie since we didn’t get too many details in the series. This chapter follows the plot loosely of s4 ch5: the Nina project but with the twist of the reader in it. If I missed any warnings let me know!! Hope you enjoy!! :) I’d like to also talk about the gif used and how precious he is
╔═══════ ೋღ🍬ღೋ ═══════╗
You really didn’t know how you were going to get into Eddie’s trailer. You had parked by the playground, and you were just staring at the trailer with ‘53’ by the front door. There was no more crime scene and caution tape blocking it off, but Eddie’s uncle, Wayne, was home. If you broke in, he’d hear you with trailer was only so big. You also couldn’t just assume he’d let you in if you asked. He was for sure being hounded and scrutinized by reporters and police right now.
You drummed your fingers on your knees, thinking. Then you had an idea as you stared at the D&D guideline books in your passenger seat. You grabbed your bookbag from the back next to the paper grocery bag, and dumped the contents in your passenger side so you could fit everything you needed for Eddie. Not quite sure how full proof this would be, but it was worth the shot as you got out of your car. You walked up to the front door and tapped on the front door lightly taking a step back waiting for an answer composing your jitters shaking your hands slightly.
The door opened to reveal Wayne Munson, and you beamed at him as if you were putting on an act.
“Can I help you?” He asked suspiciously, confused as to why a young woman was on his doorstep. Hoping it wasn’t another reporter.
“Hi, Mr. Munson, I’m the local babysitter, Y/n Y/l/n. How’re you doing today sir?” You asked politely the smile never leaving your face.
He gave you an incredulous scowl, “have you seen the news?”
He took a good look at you, you looked familiar. Not only being able to place where he has met you and your name before, he didn’t think you looked like the typical babysitter especially for Hawkins in the casual attire you had on.
You mentally facepalmed yourself for asking a stupid question, but you didn’t let that deter you. “I’m sorry sir, how insensitive of me. It must be frustrating that your nephew’s wrongfully accused of murder.”
“You believe Eddie’s innocent?” He was in disbelief, that’s all the town was talking about, and his boys name chastised everywhere he went as of late. It was eating at Mr. Munson that nobody believed him. The police tried to be neutral, but the critical gazes told him otherwise when they interviewed him,
“One hundred percent! Eddie is an oddball, not a murderer.” You reassured him. “ Actually the reason I’m here is because a couple of his younger members of the hellfire club that I babysit let Eddie borrow a couple of things for the game. I was just wondering if I could collect them?” You gave him some puppy dog eyes.
“I also apologize for the ill timing, y’know how kids can be though.” You quickly added for extra measure.
He pointed his finger at you all of sudden, “I know who you are!”
You gulped, your smile faltered, thinking you're in trouble. “Y-you do?”
“Yes, you’re one of Eddie’s friends!” He had open the door wider. “You could’ve just said that. Come on in.” He stepped aside, and you smiled weakly stepping by him into the small trailer.
The trailer was decorated in trucker hats and mugs a yellow stain seemed to envelop everything as you glanced around. Only being in here once before. It was the first time Eddie taught you to play D&D. To your dismay there was no fairy or mermaid option for race, you went for an Elf Druid instead. Towards the middle of him teaching you, Eddie and you just ended up going through his music collection, and you watched him play his acoustic guitar he had got a few months prior. Everything looked just about fine and you almost couldn’t tell Chrissy Cunningham had been killed here almost a week ago. The only evidence was a crack in the ceiling.
“I don’t know why it took me a while to figure out, maybe you had just grown so much since a couple years ago. Eddie doesn’t tell me much about his friends anymore. Then again I’m not home much either.” Wayne looked down at his feet sounding upset. “But I do remember him being sweet on you.”
You stilled as you felt your heart pick up its pace. That swarm of butterflies seemed to flutter back into your stomach again like it did earlier. “He was?”
“Boy was he. Now, I probably shouldn’t be telling you all this. That should be his job.” He chuckled, you chuckled nervously too. “His room is down the hall on the left. Make it quick girl. I have to be at work soon.” With a blank stare and a nod to this information, you tripped over your feet, almost forgetting to walk as you went to his room feeling more uneasy.
When you walked in you closed the door so it was only open slightly ajared, preventing Wayne from seeing what you were doing. The room was almost exactly how you imagined it: piles of clothes in the corner, a couple beer and water bottles on his nightstand, band posters, posters of half naked women, and the smell of weed and his cheap cologne lingered in the air. Things you did not imagine his room to have: his bed somewhat messily made wafting a smell of fresh detergent, his desk area, music collection, and D&D shelf all meticulously organized and dusted. Seemed like he was trying to impress someone. That made you frown, maybe he was trying to impress a certain cheerleader? Chrissy Cunningham was there to buy drugs from him. You knew even Eddie ‘the freak’ Munson would like her. She was pretty, sweet and actually really funny, she never solemnly judged anybody either: only if they liked Coke or Pepsi. She was the IT girl of Hawkins High, and despite being a year older than her; it didn’t exclude you from feeling a slight green feeling in your stomach. You could’ve been over thinking, maybe he invited other clients over and tried to clean up for them too? An envious feeling washed over you, it had left a sour taste in your mouth.
You let it dull as you heard someone knock on the front door that caused you to jump out of your daze.
“Can I help you?” You heard Mr. Munson ask.
“We need to take a look around.” A woman’s voice. Footsteps creaked into the living room. A ringing, high electricity buzzing started.
You gulped, and made pace. Quietly started to search for clothes for him, and dug through his drawers throwing whatever he may have needed in your bag.
“Yeah, I think it’s some kind of leak.” Wayne said. “Hadn’t had a chance to fix it with everything going on.”
You quickly dug through the top drawer, keeping an eye on the door until fingers hit something small and hard wrapped in a bandanna at the bottom of his drawer. Did you want to know? Cautiously you pulled it out, one eye closed because you could never know. Your eyes glowed in bewilderment as you unwrapped the object. It had been something you thought you’d never see in a million years. A litle poorly lumpy gnome looking trinket. You wanted to laugh, but didn’t have time to observe the object thoroughly as the door opened. You quickly wrapped it back up and threw it in the bag, turned around to be met by Wayne.
“Girl what the hell are you doing? Are you with them?” He was furious at the coincidence of you showing up on his door steps and minutes later a government agent. He noticed your bag full of Eddie’s things poking out, his brows knitted in an angry confusion visibly softened. He grabbed your arm gently with one hand bringing you in, as his other shut the door. “Do you know where Eddie is?” His voice only above a whisper.
Frozen, unsure what to say, you started to open your mouth before quickly closing it, eyes wide, and almost scared with any answer you tried to give him.
His eyes started to get glossy, “I just want to know he’s safe.” He tried to hold it together as a few tears ran down his face.
You grabbed a hold of the hand on his arm, squeezing gently. “Trust me Mr. Munson, he’s okay. I don’t know who you’re talking about, but I’m trying to clear his name.” You whispered frantic. “My friends and I are going to clear his name.” You quickly adjusted the sentence. This was a team effort not a you effort.
He nodded, taking a deep breath as footsteps approached Eddie’s bedroom. “You need to get out of here, take this.” He took out his wallet and handed a $20 bill to you.
“I can’t take this,” you insisted, trying to give it back.
“It’s for Eddie, now go.” He closed your hand around the crumpled bill. You just nodded backing up to the window, and with shaky hands you opened it sliding the screen up. You threw your bag out first, before hoisting yourself up and through the window. You weren’t ever the most poised and graced girl so you managed dropping face first to the ground. Your body ached and burned knowing there was going to be cuts and bruises later.
Adrenaline pumped through your veins as you quickly got up dusting off the scrapes and cuts, grabbing the bookbag. You crawled around staying close to the siding of the trailer, sneaking around so you could run to the car discreetly. Noticing an unmarked vehicle was parked in front of the trailer as you made sure the coast was clear. In your last couple years at Hawkins you had gotten very familiar with a car like that knowing it could mean one thing, the government, even more specifically the Department of Energy. That would explain the whirring and buzzing.
You dashed over to the playground where you had parked. Unlocking the door and hurriedly putting the keys in the ignition, engine coming to life. You grabbed the walkie talkie from the survival box from the backseat. Peeling out of the trailer park you clicked the walkie on.
“Munson, do you copy?” You asked out of breath.
“Did you get the stuff?” He quickly responded.
You mentally checked off the list in your head: food, beer, shirt, pants, socks—
“Shit! I forgot the hairbrush!” You still had your walkie clicked on causing Eddie to hear that.
“Y/l/n, you're truly implorable to think Hawkins Most Wanted needs a brush in a moment like this.” You could hear him laugh at you.
“Oh shove off, Eddie!” You told him. “I’ll be there in less than 15.”
“Copy, Princess.” You didn’t need to see his face to know he had a smirk on his face.
Your eyebrows furrowed at the road as you clicked the walkie on one last time, “stop calling me that!”
You parked down the road from Reefer Rick’s place in a tucked away turn around spot by Lover’s Lake. Overstuffing your bookbag with the food and beers for Eddie, putting the rest of your belongings in your trunk and locked the car up. It wasn’t too far away, but far enough to make you haul ass. Cutting through the brush that was behind Reefer Ricks house then to the abandoned boat house avoiding any possible attention. Pushing your stamina as much as you could. You got to the door and quietly knocked before opening the door and closing it behind you as you slipped in.
Eddie sat on an empty trash can throwing pebbles into an empty paint can, looking bored. He looked up at you and he looked dumbfounded.
“Holy shit Y/l/n!” You were still mildly out of breath from the most physical activity you’ve had in quite a few months, holding your hands on your knees throwing the book bag to him. You didn’t even bother looking at him yet, just taking deep breaths.
“I’m never,” a deep breath, “doing anything,” another deep breath, “that involves running,” one last deep breath, “again!” You collapsed to your already bruised and scraped knees tired.
“You’ve seen better days haven’t you?” You could hear the man across from already munching on the honeycombs you got him.
You had your eyes closed still regaining yourself, “always for the flattery aren’t we Munson?” He cracked open a can of beer as you scoffed at the sound.
“Oh do you want me to tell you that you look fresher than a daisy while you have blood running down your forehead?” He retorted. “Christ Sake Y/n how’d you even get that? Got into a fight with the gas station clerk for the six pack?”
You flipped him off, putting your fingers to your forehead and felt a small wet cut on your temple. It wasn’t too bad, but still enough to stain your fingers red you noted when you opened your eyes. You set you eight on the tall unruly man, glaring at him. You eyes making contact with him for the first time since you came into the boathouse. You had only saw him in passing while dropping off Max at her trailer when you were home for winter break a few months ago.
He looked more mature, hair longer, but still wearing his typical outfit: his hellfire t-shirt, tight jeans, leather jacket with the hellfire vest on top, scuffed up Nikes, and an ungodly amount of accessories. His guitar pick necklace hangs on his chest, his wallet chain popping out his pocket, a chain bracelet on his left wrist where he only had on ring on that hand, while his right hand was clad in an obnoxious amount of silver rings in various shapes on his long slender fingers, and his timex watch on the right wrist. His big brown doe eyes glimmered mischievously into yours.
You had to fight the blush from forming hoping that if one did appear you could chalk it out to all the vigorous running. Call Eddie a freak, an idiot, or a loser, but he wasn’t unattractive.
You cleared your throat, averting your eyes to the six pack beside him. “If you’d like to know, I had to practically throw myself out of your bedroom window to flee. Now hand one over.” You made a grabby hand for a can of beer.
“Ooh, the goody two shoes breaking and entering and drinking a beer with a runaway madman?” He rolled a can over to you anyway. “That’s scandalous.”
You opened the beer, taking a thirsty gulp trying to soothe your dry throat. You didn’t care that he chastised you for having a beer, you were parched. “I didn’t break and enter, more like break and exit.” You had corrected after finishing the gulp.
“My uncle let you in?” Eddie sounded surprised.
“H-he recognized me and I made a bullshit excuse I needed to grab something for Dustin,” you stated avoiding the detail of the DOC at his front door. “He wanted to know if you were safe, Eddie.” Not knowing how he’d take the news, you anxiously took another sip of beer.
Eddie was silent, glancing down staring in front of his feet. It was silent for a minute as you two just stayed still. He sniffed, wiping his nose, was he about to cry? You braced yourself just in case he was about to. Comforting the kids came east even Nancy or Steve. But Eddie? Not so much. You didn’t really know if you could say or do anything to help.
“D-does he think I did it?” He asked, his voice shaky.
You shook your head. “No, of course not.” He visibly relaxed at the statement. You bit your lip, seeing how distraught he was. You could go on all day making snide remarks and insults at him, but you felt bad. Genuinely. “Munson, you may be many things, but you aren’t a bad person .” The tone of your voice is sincere and thoughtful as you look down coyly. This was the best effort of you comforting him.
Eddie thought you short circuited being nice all of a sudden. He studied you carefully, scrapes and bruises littered your skin, your mascara from the day before smudged, did he dare want to admit to himself that you still looked pretty? The oversized Slayer shirt hanging off your shoulders, ripped mom jeans, and combat boots that you could squash anyone in. You did not look like the girl you once were in high school not even a year ago. That girl still hid her band tees tucked into skirts under dainty sweaters and paired with Keds or Converse with frilly socks that followed Steve around like a lost puppy. You had grown within the several months since he last saw you, but reminded him more of the personality of the young girl he first met. The you he had envisioned you becoming in high school had him in awe. That didn’t happen though, instead you were corrupted by the popular kids and jocks.
“You’re not going soft on me, are you Y/l/n?” Eddie questioned mockingly as he continued to rummage through the book bag of stuff you got him.
“What, I can't feel an ounce of sympathy?” You bit back.
“I don’t need your pity!” He snapped getting mad. “If this is all you’re trying to prove, you can leave. You did your supply drop, good work soldier. Now leave.” He didn’t need your martyrdom.
You rolled your eyes, “always ruining a moment and any decent conversation Munson.” Maybe you did extend your stay in the boathouse, you were only so he could have some food and clean clothes.
Eddie still pulled things out of the bag, “if I remember correctly that’s always been you.” He pulled a crushed box of sour patch kids from it, his black and white bandana messily folded over an item flying out as he did so. Oh no.
“You’re not going soft on me, are you Munson?” You mimicked him from moments ago as your eyes fell on the bandana too.
“I-I forgot I still had that.” He tried to say. You raised an eyebrow, not believing him.
“In your underwear drawer, that I would hope you go into everyday?” That caused the man across from you to blush lightly as he unraveled the bandana from around the trinket.
“I’m surprised you didn’t smash it.” You said.
“It’s not his fault the person that made it became a brainwashed idiot.” He rolled it around his fingers.
It was chipped, seen better days, but he still knew what it was supposed to be. It was a poorly constructed dungeon master you made for art class in the 8th grade. You were great at art, pottery not so much. You made it as a token of your friendship in your free time. You were so excited when you gave it to him.
It was towards the end of the school year, so you didn’t have much to do in classes as everyone wrapped up missing and late assignments. Steve asked you to hangout that weekend, but the new Judas Priest album was coming out. You wanted to snag a vinyl or cassette for it, so you asked Eddie to come along to the music shop.
As you two waited in the small line, he chatted excitedly about what he heard about the album so far. You listened as you rummaged through your purple canvas bookbag looking for the little clay piece you made in art class for him. It was comical seeing a young girl in the crowd of mainly men clad in their metal t-shirts and flannels in the rising mid day spring heat of Hawkins. You had a pale pink sleeveless romper on with a chunky belt, a geometric printed matching baby blue and lavender windbreaker wrapped around your waist, your signature lacy white socks pulled as high as they could go to hide the razor nicks on your ankles from shaving, and scuffed white keds on. Let’s not forget the clumped on mascara coating your eyelashes, overly glittery lip gloss, and the big band on your chin. When Eddie asked about it, you said you were clumsy and cut your chin, secretly it hid the mountain of a pimple that appeared overnight.
Whereas Eddie had his Hellfire Club shirt on, some cargo shorts, his wallet chain hanging, his newfound guitar pick necklace, some mismatched socks, and black vans with scribbles on the soles. He had tried to grow out a mustache and beard, but it was mainly a sparse area of dark straggly peach fuzz above his upper lip, and ingrown hairs dotted his cheeks. You two were a sight for sore eyes as you were just awkward pubescent teenagers. Not aware of the events that would forebode within the month to come.
“Aha!” You pulled the trinket out, a bright proud smile adorned your features.
“Y/n what is that?” The teenage boy asked you. He couldn’t tell what exactly it was, it looked like a mini garden gnome at first glance.
“It’s for you!” You handed it to him. “It’s supposed to be a dungeon master, see it even has a diabolical sorcerer hat on!” As you explained more he got what you were going for. The hat with lumpy flower pieces had gold stars painted over them. It was a disproportionately large almost just as big as the dungeon master itself. Though poorly made, the details of the paint job were really good; primarily red, black, and gold accents. You had made the trinket look like it was holding a red bat shaped electric guitar, like the one he got at the beginning of the school year that his uncle helped get him for making it to sophomore year. The face is just a peach colored blob with a scowl on the face. Eddie wouldn’t be happy if he had to lug around a hat on his head three times his size too.
“I was going for if Gandalf was in a metal band.” You continued. You were so nervous, knowing it wasn’t your best work, but you still thought it was cute. “D’you like it?” You batted your lashes.
Eddie smiled, it was the worst thing he ever saw. It was the best thing he had ever received though, because you made it just for him. “It’s actually great,” he chuckled. He held his hand out for a high five. “Thanks Y/n/n!” You high fives excitedly back.
He brought it to every Hellfire Club meeting until the day you stopped being friends. It was retired on his D&D shelf until one particularly bad day between you two where you were at each other’s throats in Spanish class. It got to the point where you had to be sent to the library to do your work for the rest of the period, and he got detention. Eddie went home that afternoon ready to smash it, but the more he stared at it the more he couldn’t bring himself to do it. It had been through many great campaigns with him just sitting by his folder scowling at the other members in the club so he just carefully wrapped it in one of his many bandanas and tucked it away. He always unraveled it when his uncle would force him to clean up his room and fold his laundry getting distracted by going through his things instead.
You finally stood up, dusting your pants off grabbing your keys from your pocket turning around to leave. “Well this brainwashed idiot did her job so I’ll just go.” After the much gentle reality check Steve gave you the night before, now Eddie basically paraphrased what he had said the night prior, you couldn’t help it to be bitter as a pang filled your chest. Were you really brainwashed and desperate to fit in?
“Thanks for the trip down memory lane, sweetheart.” The malice that laced sweetheart when Eddie said it was enough to turn the hurt and confusion into anger.
You whipped around to say something, the sound of a tired screeched to stop made you both freeze. “Get down!” Eddie instructed, and he sneaked a glance through the window. You crouched down not knowing what was happening listening to him anyway.
“Shit. Shit!” He exclaimed quietly as he ducked back down, grabbing the walkie talkie beside him.
“What’s going on?” Your eyes widened as he clicked the walkie on.
“Hey Dustin. It’s Eddie, you remember me right?” He spoke through the machine. “Well the babysitters here too. If anyone’s there, we may be in a bit of trouble here.” He started to freak out. “Okay? Wheeler? Harrington?!” He smacked the walkie in frustration, “anyone?!”
You crawled over to the window he was near to see what he was so freaked out over. You bumped his shoulder as you went to peer up through the window, but he quickly grabbed you, pulling you back down before you could see.
“I believe my angry mob has arrived.” He whispered darkly.

hello could you possibly do a tommyinnit x a reader who's mute, maybe he introduces them to his twitch chat
if not that's fine have a nice day/night :]
the jitters | tommyinnit x gn!mute!reader
summary: tommy introduces you, a mute reader, to his chat during a stream on the dream smp! a/n: long time no see :( sorry for being away, ive been reallyyy demotivated with writing. this is my first time writing for a specific disability so, sorry if some of this information is inaccurate, please message me if i need to correct anything! before you read: this is for readers who are mute! you can read it of course if you aren't but it might not make sense. no warnings interpret it however you want! (platonic/romantic) they/them pronouns used! → check out my masterlist here ♡ → read my previous imagine “ice cream parlor” here!
You had arrived at Tommy's doorstep. You couldn't believe what you were doing here. When he proposed the idea of introducing you to his Twitch chat, you agreed but you didn't actually think he'd go through with it. You reluctantly ring the doorbell.
You hear quick footsteps run down a staircase and suddenly the door swung open. You were greeted by the loud blonde boy, "Y/N! You're finally here, come in!". He held the door open and you gave the hand sign for a thank you. "I'll start the stream in a bit, you can get water beforehand!" He gestured at the fridge. You grabbed a water and took a seat to the right of him.
Your leg was noticeably bouncing and you didn't look comfortable. You loved hanging out with Tommy but the thought of being in front of his hundreds of thousands of fans was nerve-racking. He looked at you with worry.
"Hey, we don't have to stream! We can just chill and go eat or something." He assures you. You type on your phone and the text-to-speech program speaks, "It's okay! Just the jitters, let's do thy!". "Thy?" Tommy said with a chuckle. "I meant this. I hate typos." You typed and lightheartedly rolled your eyes. He laughed, "Alright, let's do thy!".
You clap to signal that you're laughing but the microphone picks it up. You see that some of the chat has commented on it.
thrivingcalamity LOL what was that?? HelloitsMarie MY EARDRUMS tommys_allium uhhhh
You type on your phone and show it to Tommy instead of making it text-to-speech in case it picks up again, "Sorry about that D:". "Don't worry about it! I'm louder than that anyways." He said. You pointed to his microphone with a worried look to try and tell him that his chat could still hear him. "Don't worry about it, we'll just switch screens."
You could practically feel the adrenaline rushing through you. "BOYS! Welcome to the stream!" Tommy yells. You laugh to yourself, it was weird to see him instantly switch to his stream persona. You look at the chat and they notice you to the right of him.
BENCHTRIOS who's behind you? ghooostbur tommy gets human interaction??
"Chat, meet Y/N! They're a really good friend of mine and they'll be joining me for stream today!" Tommy said enthusiastically. You awkwardly waved at the camera. "Oh yeah, and they're also mute so they're going to chime in with their text-to-speech or just slapping my arm." He joked. You raise your hand as if you're about to slap his arm and he moves his chair further from you.
You sheepishly grin and type on your text-to-speech, "LOL hi chat please go easy on me". You look at Tommy nervously and he points at chat, "Good! You like them just as much as I do." To your surprise, you look at chat and they give you accepting messages.
BENCHTRIOS i love them already :3 thrivingcalamity AHHH they're so cool!!
You smile at chat and make a heart with your hands. "I can see that you like chat too, hmmm?" Tommy says teasingly. You type on your phone, "I guess you could say they're a bit cool.". He laughs, "Yeah no, I hate them. Okay, off to the Dream SMP we go!". Your eyes widen in shock and you scoff. You see chat spamming crying emotes and you go along with the stream.

Since you've asked for more, here's round 2. And I never specified a gender last time, but I am making it clear this is a male reader. Personal headcannon that Doc is more fruity than a fruit salad!
-------------♡----------------
You let out a shudder, your legs crossing over each other in an attempt to hide your erection. You looked up at the Doctor, a small tremble in youe voice as you spoke. "A-And.. How does that..," You point at the jittering device within his palm. "Exactly d-do that?" You asked, staring into his mix-match eyes.
A small chortle left the doctor's lips as he easily moved his free hand down to part your knees, your limbs feeling like jelly as your cock was exposed to the cold air around you. "It involves being placed within the body." He explained as he sat between your legs, them dangling off his broad hips. "Either through the mouth, or.. By means of vaginal or anal insertion. You, lovely, get to be my test for the latter." He said, a wild glint in his eye. He looked excited, almost feral as he slipped closer to your now trembling form.
You felt like you could barely breathe. Your body felt like it was truly out of control, only willing to listen to the cyborg between your legs. You could only hope this wasn't a dream, and that you wouldn't wake up any time soon. "Y-You're gonna put that t-thing inside m-me?!" You asked, attempting to play up the mock fear in your voice to mask the growing excited tone lacing your words like poison.
Doc's chest heaved a bit with a soft laughter, his eyes solely on your own. "Well, not at first." He said, his free hand easily being more than enough to pin both your hands above your head, trapping them against the cold surface of the bed. "You're much to tight for that." He whispered against your ear, the smirk crystal clear in his voice. "We're going to have to... Loosen you up quite a bit. Think you could handle that, baby boy?" He almost seemed to growl in your ear, your spine trembling with each word he spoke.
You couldn't hide the small moan that escaped your lips, bitting down on your tongue in shame. Curse your praise kink! You gulped, although it felt like swallowing cotton. And yet, you seemed to want to listen to that little rebellious voice that always nagged at your mind.
"Oh? Is that so?" You asked, trying to keep your voice steady. "T-Then you may want to get somebody like M-Mumbo or X to help out.. D-Don't want to be disappointed w-with only an i-inch." You teased, a smirk crossing your face.
That smirk was quick to die with just the terrifying look the doctor gave you.
"Just an inch, you say?" The doctor's face was stone as he looked down at you. Small plumes of gunpowder left his mouth, his voice dropping an octave as he spoke. "Oh... I'll have to remind you why half the hermits fear me, baby boy." He said, releasing your hands. He instead wrapped it around your neck, squeezing just tight enough where you could still breath. But just barely.
"It will be a lesson you shall never forget."

part 1 | part 2 | part 3
to the whole population of inarizaki high, you and suna rintarou were the it couple. one look at you two and everyone could see the love so deep visible in your eyes as you both gazed at each other. for him; you were his lifeline, his sunshine. for you; he was a fresh breath of air, your knight in shining armor. you had a bad streak of boyfriends, always giving it your all to get nothing back in return. you thought too much and fell too deeply and that always found a way to bite you back. but not with suna, because with him everything was just so easy.
he understood you, listened to you, gave you your space when you needed it, held you when you were about to break; returned every ounce of love you gave him without any effort because he was just like you, deeply in love. you both don’t know when the sparks started, but one day you both just knew the way you gazed at each other wasn’t a friendly one anymore, rather something that displayed longing.
you came to inarizaki in your second year from nekoma. although you were always told you were a very sociable person, there were always those first-day jitters that made you shy to approach people. you were always scared to come off as too much to people, too loud, too energetic, too passionate. your parents had told you there was nothing wrong with that, it was just that you had too much love to share, you were caring, understanding, and many more as they claimed. you never failed to thank them every time after their speech, it always lifted your mood and erased your worries. pushing aside those thoughts, you had managed to make friends and get used to the environment. the change began one day when one of your new friends (now best friend) akane recommended the photography club to you.
at first, you were hesitant on accepting it since you were in college prep classes and the last thing you wanted was to fall behind on them, but after a week of bugging you, you accepted the offer and it was the choice that changed your life. until that day you didn’t know how much taking photos made you happy. sure you took pictures on your phone from time to time of view that interested you, but never on a serious level. it made you realize your true passion. in the blink of an eye the first
three months of your second year had already passed, and you had managed to secure a good spot in the club which led you to your meeting with suna; when you were assigned to the volleyball club. you were shy at first, entering a room full of tall and very good-looking men who played passionately was a sight for all the girls in the school. with the help of the captain kita, you warmed up to all of them, but you couldn’t help but let your eyes drift to a certain middle blocker whenever you watched their games. you see, suna had caught your eye the second you had entered the gym. not just because of his looks, but because he seemed more detached than others; even though that wasn’t the case at all.
you were curious, about what he hid behind the laid-back personality, so one day you had managed to approach him at the start of practice. the situation at hand was perfect for you, today they were going to have a match by dividing the team in half and you were going to offer to tape his fingers hoping and praying to not stutter while talking.
while everyone was one by one entering the gym you were trying to calm your heart. it was humiliating, you weren’t about to go up and kiss him or something but you were planning on asking him out; which itself was a big move for you. internally saying your last prayers to ease your nerves, you made your way over to suna rintarou.
“hey suna. do you need me to tape your finger?” you offered with the tape in hand. unbeknownst to you, suna was equally as nervous at your offer. the girl he’s been silently crushing on personally asking to tape his fingers? what kind of shojo manga was he in? sending a side glare to the two twins who were wiggling their eyebrows at him he nodded, “yeah thanks.”
you both made your way over to the bench and sat side by side. silently sitting while you started to wrap the tape around his slender fingers. you cleared your throat finally building the courage to ask the question.
“i-um, are you seeing anyone suna?” the question definitely caught him off guard as he choked on the water he was drinking with his free hand. ears turning pink as he tried to find his words, “why-uh, why are you asking?” seeing the usual laid-back and disinterested suna slightly flustered had your own cheeks turning a light shade of pink.
“well...i wanted to ask you if you—you wanted to go out with me one day?” you looked anywhere but his eyes determined to avoid his observant gaze, but what you weren’t aware of was how suna was starting to turn into a tomato at your question, eyes wide and brain short-circuiting unable to find an answer. “i mean if you don’t want to i totally understand-“
“yes.” you lifted your head to look at him, eyes wide cheeks still blushing. “i-uh, i’d like to go out with you too...” he was scratching the back of his head, trying to calm himself down but internally screaming at the fact he scored a date with his crush!
you had a soft smile on your face, “alright then i’ll text you the details later. now go play everyone is staring at us.” you stood up from your seat to get your camera ready, now out of his view with the biggest grin on your face.
unintentionally during the whole game, the lens of your camera always found its way back to suna’s figure.
your first date with him was one you would never forget. you texted him to agree on a time and place but ended up with suna telling you he already had a plan and that you would only need to be free on saturday. the day before the awaited date you were extremely nervous, in no way or shape had you imagined him actually accepting your proposal. because you didn’t know what he had in store for you, it was very hard to decide what you were going to wear, but in the end, you decided on some black baggy jeans and a sleeveless white top that showed off the skin between it and the jeans; a simple look because you had absolutely no idea what to expect from it.
in the end, the date turned out to be driving around and going sightseeing; it was the most fun date you’ve ever been on, and made tons of memories with suna that day. you still had the pictures taken from that day saved on your phone, one even being each other’s lock-screen to you remind you of the day.
from that day on everything was perfect. you went on multiple more dates like the arcade, movies, the luna park and even went to each other’s house and cuddled under the sheets. it was a bliss—to be with suna. he made you feel loved; a kind of love you had never experienced. even in your third year—after dating a full year now—he still managed to give you butterflies when he sneaked behind you to hug you, or when he kissed you so passionately. he never had to do anything grand to impress you, his little actions of care were enough. the good morning/night texts, buying you lunch knowing the days you would forget yours, handing you his hoodies knowing he would never get them back.
and for suna it was the same. you were the only girl that made him feel things he thought he wasn’t capable of. you showed him what it was to be loved unconditionally, to be accepted for who you are, and to be worthy of someone’s time. the moment you joined the team as their official photographer, he couldn’t keep his eyes off of you. he couldn’t exactly pinpoint what it was that caught his interest but his best guess was the smiles you gave him, your words of encouragement to the team, and the effort you put in on getting to know them; forming a strong bond. the whole team loved you and it was no surprise why.
the first time suna realized he harbored some kind of feelings for you, he made the stupid mistake of asking osamu for his opinion; again this was the most stupid decision he ever made because since that day they have non-stop annoyed him and teased about it whenever you were near them. and the day you asked him out? they gave him the biggest headache that day but he was too shocked and excited about the date that he couldn’t even bother to stop them. from that day on, suna was sure he was on cloud nine. the feeling of holding your hands, your body snuggled up beside his, the way your lips felt against his—it was all he could ever dream of.
you were even close with his mother and sister. every time you came to visit his home both of the girls would welcome you with open arms. his mother never failed to talk about you, telling him he chose a good girl and how you guys would have adorable children (though he rolled his eyes at this, the thoughts of creating a family with you never left his mind).
his sister would call you onee-chan stealing you from him whenever you came over. gossiping behind his back, playing with toys, and watching princess movies. the fact that you were best friends with his sister always warmed his heart. you were an angel, a blessing from the gods to him. he never wanted to let you go, the thought was agonizing enough. so why did that happen in the end? why did his worst nightmare become a reality? did he have the right to feel bad though? it was his fault in the end, he was the artist of his worst nightmare that turned the painting into a live one–and it all happened one month before graduation.
you didn’t know how to react to the news, it was unexpected. sure you applied there yourself to test the waters, but you never thought you would actually manage to get in. you had managed to get in the school of your dreams—and with a scholarship at that! however, there was one downside to it; it was abroad.
the school of your dreams was on the other side of the world and that would mean leaving everyone and everything you have built here. you hadn’t told your parents yet considering the fact that you just learned of the news yourself after checking your mail. but you knew you had to talk to them, you knew they would be the ones to support your no matter what and guide you to the right decision. so taking a deep breath, you walked downstairs into to living room and faced your parents. “mom, dad, i have some news for both of you...” you played with your fingers behind your back.
“what is is y/n? is everything okay?” your dad asked you, faced turning into a worried expression. “no-no it isn’t bad. i just need your opinions on it.”
“alright. you can tell us anything dear, we’re here to support you no matter what.” your mother smiled at you taking your hand to place you between them to bring you comfort. “...i got into the school of my dreams.”
“what did they say?” akane asked you. you were explaining the events of last night; the news, your reaction, and the conversation you had with your parents. “they were very supportive. since they gave me a scholarship there won’t be a financial problem.” you answered, both of you were eating lunch on one of the benches around the school.
“so what has you so on edge? you got into your dream school, you can go to it! what has you so hesitant y/n?” she reached out to hold your hand, resulting in you looking at in the eyes.
“...it’s rin—“ you sighed, “i know i should tell him but i don’t know if he’ll be alright with long-distance you know? it’s hard. and considering that i’ll be on the other side of the world, visiting each other will be costly. but i also don’t want to force him into this, but i don’t know what to do if it results in a breakup and we drift apart. akane, you know how much i love him. and hearing him talk about how we can move in together after college and always being with each other—” you choked on your own words, tears welling up in your eyes. it was too much to think about. akane hugged you tightly, rubbing your back to calm you down.
she was sad to hear how you felt about the situation at hand. although she loved you and suna together, even going as far as calling you soulmates, she didn’t like the idea of him holding you back. she was the one who helped you realize your true passion, and has been by your side throughout all of it. if you would turn down this offer to stay with suna she would forever hate you both.
“look y/n. you know how much i love you and suna together, and i’m sure you guys are literally meant to be; straight out of a high school romance movie. but still, don’t let the love you have hold you back from reaching your dreams. you are so talented it would be a waste to stay here and if suna doesn’t realize that, then it’s his fault and he’s stupid; like i always thought he was. don’t let a boy decide your future. that’s your choice to make, just don’t let him influence it.” you left her embrace to look at her. god you were so thankful to have a friend like her by your side, you didn’t know what you’d do without her.
“thank you.” you whispered and smiled at her while your mind started on planning how you’d start the conversation with your boyfriend.
you and suna were going out on a date tonight, apparently, he wanted to go stargazing with you so now you were in hir car on your way to the usual park you guys always went to. although you wanted to bask in the moments like this, you knew you had to bring up the topic sooner or later. one more month till your graduation, if you kept on pushing aside the topic things would turn out much much worse than the initial plan.
so when you both reached the spot and got out to place the blanket on the grass with the snacks you brought, you laid down next to him while reaching to hold his hand. “this was a very nice idea rin. who would’ve thought the fox-eyed middle blocker was a romantic person.” you giggled into his neck, the feeling only bringing you comfort for a second until suna opened his mouth to speak.
“im only a romantic for you. just you wait for what’s to come once we graduate. i can’t wait to lay next to each other every night.” he turned to look at you, softly pecking your lips. you gulped, already getting nervous knowing it was now or never. you sat up, straddling his lap which resulted in him sitting up too and placing his hands on your waist. “rin i have to tell you something...” you looked down at your lap.
lifting your chin with his finger he looked into your eyes, “you can tell me anything bunny. what is it?”
“...i plan on studying abroad.” he blinked at you, face supporting a look of confusion, “what—aren’t we going to study together? you know we talked about this.”
“i know we did rin, but i got accepted to the school of my dreams—and with a scholarship at that! it’s the chance of a lifetime and i don’t want to miss it.” you moved off his lap and looked at him. he had an unreadable look in his eyes, but it was obvious to the naked eye that he was taken back by the news and that got you even more nervous. “where—where is this school?” you bit your lip, “the states rin...”
“fuck—y/n that’s so far away! how are we supposed to see each other with that much distance!”
“rin that’s the thing. look im not gonna change my decision, i want to go there. but im giving you an out at this.” you stood up just like he did.
“an out? are you telling me you want to break up?” now he looked vulnerable, eyes showing nothing but a broken boy.
“believe me when i say i don’t want to but if that’s the best choice then so be it. rin im not going to ask you to stay in a long-distance relationship with me—even if i do want to try, i won’t pressure you into it cause i know it will be very hard. and from the reaction you gave me, i don’t think you’re open to the idea of a long-distance relationship anyway.” you sighed.
“why don’t you consider studying here? there are amazing schools here y/n and i can change my destination too. just stay here. please.” he walked closer to you with each word cupping your face with his hands.
“see this is exactly what i don’t want—“ you removed his hands from your face, “i don’t want to stay here. my dream is there rin not here, and do you hear yourself? you’re telling me you’ll throw away your dream school just so i can stay here? i could never accept that.”
“but i don’t want to break up y/n! god, you’re the love of my life! what happened to all those nights we dreamed and planned on staying together and shit!”
“im not going to further discuss this topic rin. my decision is final. now im leaving you with a question. do you want to try long-distance or do you want to break up? i won’t hate you if you choose the latter because i understand the situation. so im giving you a week. please give me your final answer in a week.” with those words you kissed his lips deeply, savoring the taste and the way they felt against yours; hoping it wasn’t the last time, and turned your back to leave.
“y/n! y/n! don’t leave we have to talk about this! y/n!”
that night suna slept in a bed that didn’t belong to him. and woke up with a body that didn’t belong to you.
the next two days were agonizing for you. suna hadn’t talked to you for two days straight since your news and whenever you saw each other in school, his eyes always seemed to avoid yours. that got you even sadder, all you wanted was to be on good terms with him, even if this resulted in your breakup, you would want nothing more but to still be in contact with him. the morning of the third day you had made up your mind; you were going to talk to him no matter what—you couldn’t take the avoiding any longer due to it starting to hurt too much. but no way at all were you expecting your life to crumble in front of your eyes that day.
you had just gotten out of class and were on your way to akane when a girl stopped you halfway. she wasn’t someone you knew personally per se, but you had seen her around the gym with the other fangirls when you came to watch suna’s games. she was one of those really pretty girls. the ones with the blonde hair and the bluest eyes you could ever see a body with the perfect shape; just like out of a magazine cover.
“we need to talk.” without waiting for a reply she pulled you into an empty classroom and locked the door. your eyes widened “wha—what’s going on?” you looked into her eyes, there was a glint you couldn’t exactly place and a feeling started to grow in the pit of your stomach. she smirked, somehow realizing where your mind was going at, “hate to break that pretty relationship of yours, but i thought you should at least hear it from me if you haven’t from your precious rin.”
she pulled out her phone to show you the pictures of a naked suna rintarou asleep on her naked chest. you didn’t want to believe it, but with how you left things and with him avoiding you every time your eyes met—you knew it was true. “why...” you whispered a few tears slipping past your eyes. “i don’t exactly know what pushed him into coming into my arms–but i could only guess it was because he got bored of you.” she looked you up and down. before she could say another word you ran out of the room. you hated looking vulnerable or crying in front of people so you had to be quick in reaching the bathroom. once inside you finally broke down, back leaning against one of the stalls and slipping down to actually take a breath.
did all the moments you spent together mean nothing to him? is one news enough to break the trust and love formed between each other? why couldn’t he just tell you he wanted to break up? was your question and excuse for him to finally break up with you? you had so many questions in your head at the moment but only one thing was final; this meant you finally had your answer from him.
the next days you avoided suna just as much as he, did you. you knew you had to face him and confront him about what he had done but that would only make things much more real. you were afraid of crying in front of him, you wanted to look strong in front of him act as if what he did hadn’t broken you–oh what a lie that was. but the month was about to end and you already sent a mail confirming your attendance at the college last night with your parents, you, of course, told them of the news and they comforted you with their hugs and a family movie night. you were thankful for them.
you had also face-timed akane last night and told her of the events as well, she was very much about to go and beat suna’s ass but you had managed to calm her down by letting her know you guys were bound to break up–at least that’s what you had thought apparently because the way suna pulled you into a classroom just like that girl had done and told you he wanted to try long-distance with you had you paralyzed in your spot. it broke you more now knowing he had no intention of letting you know of the events that occurred the night of your confession.
when you finally managed to find your voice you were sure your voice wasn’t as soft as you planned it to be, “are you serious right now? like–you’re not joking with me right?” he looked at you just as he used to, with love and adoration, but also shock now–probably expecting you to jump into his arms at his words.
“i’m not joking y/n. i thought about i and want to try it; because you’re worth it. you’re the love of my life and im willing to try to make it work if it means we’re together in the end.” he walked closer to you intending on hugging you but was met with you flinching at his touch. you watched as his eyes widened, processing what just happened. “how can you say that rintarou…” angry tears were welling up in your eyes as you stepped away from him wanting to keep the distance.
you couldn’t believe your ears. he had lied to your face, hoping to keep you in the dark. you were hoping he’d confess and ask for your forgiveness (not like you’d forgive him, you knew your worth), but no, he straight up decided to ignore the fact that he cheated.
“rintarou? bunny it’s rin?” you could see him trying to solve the reason for your hostility and you wanted to see him break the same way you did. “it’s funny how you didn’t tell me about you cheating.” you watched his whole facade crumble in front of your eyes, and as much as it pained you, there was no other way to go, “were you hoping to hide that forever and continue your picture-perfect relationship with me?”
“bunny...please just–let’s talk about this alright. it was an accident–”
“accident? accident! suna do you hear yourself? i gave you an out, if it was that hard for you, you could’ve just man up and tell this to my face! but you go and cheat–proceeding to ignore that and tell me you want to stay with me? do you see how stupid this all sounds?”
“and i know it! i-i was really heartbroken that day y/n...and angry at the same time for you to dream with me yet forget about those. but i know that doesn’t excuse my actions–”
“you’re right it doesn’t excuse your actions. because we are over suna–” his eyes widened at this, tears on the verge of trailing down his pretty face, “–i’m breaking up with you because i need someone who wouldn’t betray me like this.”
“no, no, no, no–y/n no, don’t do this, please. i love you okay? weren’t be always forever? Didn’t we promise each other that bunny?” he held your face in his hands, both of your tears now staining your faces and uniforms. but you couldn’t look him in the eye, it all hurt too much. you loved him so much, too much, but again you knew this, it always came to bite you back.
“you broke that suna. you broke us, you broke our promise of always forever. you ruined this, not me.” you pushed his hands off your face as you tried to walk away from him, but all those were of no use; he blocked every attempt to leave.
“please, please, we can fix this. i love you okay? with all my heart, always have and always will. please love!” he held your arms to stop you from moving but your decision was final, no longer was he your knight in shining armor, he was the most pretties the deadliest rose there was. his spikes pierced your heart, you bleeding out. no longer was he your safe space, no longer was he your fresh breath of air.
“it’s over suna. please don’t try to talk with me anymore. i want to graduate without experiencing heartbreak again.” with those last words you left him in the room, alone, heartbroken, just how you had left him that day with your news.
time went by quickly, and in the blink of an eye, it was already the day of your graduation. you and akane were walking around saying your last goodbyes to your favorite teachers, friends, faculty members.
you and akane were going to spend the night together at your house and have the last sleepover of the year since your plane was around seven at night tomorrow. you were scared to leave, staying away from your parents had never been a problem to you but on the other side of the country? that was going to be hard yet you promised to face-time them almost every day.
akane was also going abroad but to italy since she always wanted to study design. her talent was beyond what you thought it was in the first place, you were the one who encouraged her to apply there in the first place and now both of you were about to leave your homes. too engrossed in your thoughts you didn’t notice akane nudging your shoulder, and by the time you did, it was too late to realize the group of volleyball players walking your way.
you put on a smile trying to look not bothered and happy. suna on the other hand couldn’t bring himself to smile, not when the love of his life was so close yet so far away from him. all he wanted to do was be in your embrace and be loved by you, yet he knew how selfish it was of him. both atsumu and osamu could see the obvious pain you guys were both in, so could akane.
the twins were devastated when suna told about your break-up but they were equally mad at him for the mistake he had made. “good luck in the states l/n” osamu spoke first, “they won’t know what hit’em” he gave you a genuine smile; one you were grateful for. despite the break-up with suna you were still on good terms with the twins. you were close with them too, and hoped to stay in touch with them.
“thank you samu. that means a lot. i’ll be waiting on those free onigiri’s though, i’ll send you my new address.” you winked resulting in him laughing. “won’t forget to.”
you turned to look at atsumu who was awkwardly standing there, poor boy probably didn’t want to offend his friend by acting close to you. “i just know you’ll be the best setter of the nation tsumu. you were always amazing and you’ll always continue to be amazing.” atsumu’s face grew into a big grin,
“of course im the best! ya better come to my game once i make the olympic team y/n.”
“wouldn’t dare to miss it.” you laughed, eyes now looking at suna, “i’m glad you chose volleyball suna, don’t waste your talent i’m sure you’ll do amazing too.” you didn’t miss the way he flinched at the use of his surname.
“thanks l/n, i’m glad you’re following your passion too.” he gave you a faint smile which you smiled back at.
you were happy you and suna could act decently with each other, glad there weren’t any spiteful feelings between you two. now was the start of a new chapter in your life; one you were ready for. it was finally to pursue your passion and live your life.
you left for home that day with no regrets, ready to start this clean chapter in your life. akane helped you prepare the last things needed for your luggage and demanded on having a harry potter movie marathon with you. with your best friend by your side and your family behind you to support your dreams; you were ready for what was to come.

Okay for supernatural/demon lads and ghosthunting MC though.... imagine one of their haunted house sleepovers. The guys torn between scaring off the actual hauntings and *also* liking the way MC snuggles up close when spooky sounds and blips on her camera/sound equipment/etc happen.... Maybe a ouija board session at the witching hour where some narc ghost tries to warn her about three demons clinging to her >:Dc
WAAA omg. omg. omg this gave me an idea i had to-
“... The collapse of the roof in 1755 crushed 4 residents of the asylum.” You were deliberately using your spookiest voice, drained of all but the bare essentials of emotion to get the point across, flashlight in hand. “Since the accident they’ve cleared the damage and fixed the ceiling... but some say the spirits of those killed still wander the halls today, trapped not by rubble... but by the pain that binds their energy to this location.”
You were still amazed at how steadily Skull could hold a camera. Whenever you looked through footage, even the stuff taken when he was walking, it was as if you had it on a professional electronic rig... you honestly had no idea what you’d do without him. It was pretty damn cold in the building, as it was completely derelict and abandoned, with no windows to furnishings to retain heat- only the concrete foundations remained.
“Visitors to the site have reported tapping on the walls, footsteps, shadows in the corridors, and the smell of brick dus-”
At the sound of tapping very nearby on the old plaster asylum wall, you spun around in shock, shining your flashlight...
... On Red, who was grinning like a bastard, rapping his phalanges on the wall.
“... s’pretty sturdy for an old ass wall.” He purred, pulling an ‘innocent’ face and putting his hand back in his pocket.
“hearing creaks and smelling dust in an old building.” Sans said, with his usual unbothered smile, like all this was just a bad haunted house attraction. “shocking. must be ghosts.”
“Oh, sure, act smug now, you’ll be apologising later when I get paranormal activity on camera.” You mumbled, deliberately shining the light into his face for a moment. You removed your spirit box from your pocket, ignoring the little joking vampire-like hissing sound he made.
The spirit box was your prized possession, your favourite method of communicating with spirits. It was a small black device that somewhat resembled an old walkie talkie; its purpose was to rapidly cycle between radio stations, producing static noise that ghosts could communicate directly with you through. It sounded sharp and horrible and always made the ugliest jittering sound, but even just holding it in your hands made you feel more and more excited.
“... I’ve got a device in my hand.” You said, addressing the room, the building... this was the part you never got over. The part where you spoke directly into the darkness that somehow seemed both smoggy and veil-thin, the part where you could almost feel the unseen eyes in the area turn to you. A shiver ran up your spine... you were certain that if you weren’t flanked by the comforting presences of Sans, Red and Skull, you’d chicken out before you could capture any video. “It’s going to play static that’ll allow you to communicate with us. If you want to, please speak, tell us what happened here.”
“geez. i hate this thing...
... You turned it on. Sans pulled a face, but didn’t make any of his usual complaints, which you appreciated. You stood there, waiting, all four of you staring at the device in your hand... it usually took a little while for something to come through so you weren’t expecting-
“ - - D E M O - N S -”
It blurted out of the box, clear as day, the clearest voice you’d ever heard coming from the box with only a slight jitter from the skipping. It sounded like a man. You jumped, your chest and your eyes widening- “Oh my God... I- what did it say? Did you say demons?”
“- E M O N S - - - I - N - -”
Your hands were shaking- he repeated it. Your full attention was on the box now, your heart was starting to pound. “There are demons here? In the building?”
“- YES-”
It was the same voice, giving you clear replies! This was huge! You couldn’t believe it! You were holding the box like it was a winning lottery ticket, just about losing your mind. “What’s your name? Tell me your name.”
“- - PLE A S E -”
You didn’t see the expressions on the guys’ faces. You didn’t notice Red and Sans slip away into the dark, too exhilarated to be expecting their usual cutthroat humour and cynicism.
"Where are the demons? Are they in the building? Can you tell me where they are?”
Something came through the box, but it was too mangled by the static, too impossible to make out. “What did you say? Say that again!”
“- W - - TH -” It was like something was interfering with the transmission. “W I T H - Y O U.”
... What?
“... With me?”
“ T H E - S K E L E T - ”
... It turned off.
...
Everything turned off. Your fully charged torch went dead, Skull’s torch went dead, the camera's lights blinked out. Suddenly, all the noise in the world had vanished... it was so, so deafeningly quiet...
... and the only light was Skull’s blood red iris, staring at you.
...
“... All the stuff just...”
... You looked around the room, trying to see something in the murky darkness, as if searching the shadows for a reason for the sudden powercut to all your individual devices at once.
“... something wrong?” Skull asked.
His voice was incredibly gentle.
... It was as if a cloud descended over your mind. Suddenly, just like that, you felt like you’d been plunged into a dream. Nothing seemed... real. You couldn’t think, you couldn’t process... a horrible wave of dizziness accompanied the cloud, creeping over you, prickling at your temples and muddying everything that was going in and out of your brain.
“I-I...” You stopped being able to feel your hands or your death grip on the useless flashlight. The pitch black room was beginning to spin, slowly... “I don’t...”
“hm?”
“Where’s...” Your eyes were darting about. Pounding head, like it’d been stuffed full of cotton... your lips weighed too much, it was hard to speak. “Where... Sans... Red...?”
“... shh... it’s okay.”
A big hand softly closed over yours. You knew Skull had big hands, that was something you loved about him... but the one that held you was huge. Your tiny appendage was swallowed whole by thick bones with long, cruel claws... it felt like him, but it didn’t... feel like him...
... What’s going on? Where am I?
... The hand gently led you closer, easily moving you like you were little more than a confused child. His eyelight was in view... his huge, red eyelight... your own eyes were stinging, strained, wide and afraid. The other hand moved close to you but you didn’t even have the presence of mind to flinch as it gently brushed hair out of your face... you just stared up into the eyelight.
He had horns. Skull’s silhouette had huge, curved horns.
“it’s alright.” He murmured, cupping you like a precious baby bird. His voice had become distorted, warped... and even in your state of delirium, you were certain it wasn’t from the headache. “you’re with me. you can let go.”
The dizziness was becoming too much to bear. You couldn’t even focus on his iris anymore, you couldn’t see, you were either going to pass out or be sick. The distant sound of your flashlight hitting the floor... You pressed your eyes shut to relieve the aching, and tried to say something, but it was just a bleary mumble...
“that’s it.” He purred, the hand holding yours instead moving to your back to support your swaying body. You couldn’t open your eyes again... you didn’t want to. It felt so much nicer closed, the discomfort was muffled. “don’t need fight. none of this... ever happened.”
... You were vaguely aware of him catching your tipping body and scooping you up into his arms before everything went completely dark.

Skipping Stones - KEVIN
This was the second full scenario I ever finished for The Boyz and I think it was pretty nice to start with some soft Kevin :D THANK YOU KAI FOR LETTING ME YELL TO YOU ABOUT THIS ONE I HOPE IT LIVES UP TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS.
Anyway! Happy (slightly early but only by a couple hours??) birthday to one of the best boys in the world, the one and only wonderful beautiful lovely Kevin Moon! I hope you all enjoy this <3 please reblog if you did!
Pairing: Kevin x gender neutral!reader
Genre: fluff, teacher!au
Triggers: cursing, alcohol
Word Count: 7.8k
Falling in love with you, Kevin thinks, is a bit like skipping stones.
Alternatively:
Five times Kevin felt himself falling deeper in love with you, and the one time he knew he was gone.
TBZ Masterlist | Touching Stars | Breathe, and Live
prelude.
Kevin knows he exists to be clowned. His sister says it’s something about his face – there’s something undeniably meme-y about his reactions, apparently, that makes him very clownable. His students tell him it’s in his demeanor – he comes off as pretty chill, according to them, which makes him easy to tease because they know he’ll react in some hilarious way, but it won’t affect him too deeply.
(Changmin just says he’s stupid, which makes him clownable to the highest degree, but Kevin refuses to take information from the teacher who still scares him every other week with whichever horror movie mask has recently caught his fancy.)
So Kevin knows he’s just a clownable human being, and he’s resigned himself to that fate for the rest of his life. But around you? His calm, collected, hilarious, wonderful partner? He expected a little less clownery and a little more loving.
“Oh, come on,” you laugh, trying to get Kevin to turn around. Honestly, he’s already feeling the effects of withdrawal from not seeing your smile for more than a few minutes, but he refuses to budge, lips curved downwards in a semi-permanent pout. He knows he won’t be able to keep this up for long (he’ll miss looking at your face too much, and really, he can’t be mad at you about anything), but he can make a scene. “Kevin!”
“You’re so mean,” he whines, still resisting your efforts to make him look at you. “I just poured out a very embarrassing part of my childhood to you and instead of comforting me, you laugh?” His pout deepens. “I don’t know why we’re dating.”
Your hands leave the back of his shoulders. For a second, Kevin thinks you’ve given up and he’s about to start whining about that too, but then you appear in front of him, fingers clasped placatingly. “All right, all right, Kevin.” Still grinning, you grab his hands. “I won’t tease anymore. But seriously, how could you expect me not to laugh my ass off when you told me you learned to skip stones for the –” you make jazz hands, presumably to emphasize your point – “aesthetic?”
Kevin sticks his lip out childishly. “I didn’t think it was that funny,” he mumbles.
“It’s not, not really.” You squeeze his hands. “But it’s a move that’s got Kevin Moon stamped all over it.” As if to accentuate your point, you snort. “Of course you’d learn to skip stones for the aesthetic.”
“Y/N,” he whines.
“Fine, fine, I’ll stop.” Your teasing grin melts into an eager smile. “Hey, teach me?”
“Right now?”
“Why not?”
It feels like Kevin’s physically crumbling to pieces with the way your hopeful voice and sparkling eyes just attack him from all angles. Grudgingly, the deep pout on his lips stretches into a smile, the starstruck smile that all of his friends like to tease him for. “Fine, let’s go.”
He spends the rest of the afternoon stepping around small children and younger couples, trying to find suitable rocks for skipping and teaching you the right angles, the right stance, the right way to hold the stone in your hand before sending it into the water. You learn fast, something he envies – where it took him at least a couple of weeks to perfect the art, you (mostly) pick it up in a matter of hours – but he can’t feel too jealous or too bad when you look up at him after your stone skips once on the water. “Kevin, I did it!” You shake him slightly. “Did you see that?”
The softest smile spreads across Kevin’s face as he kisses your forehead softly “Yeah, I did.”
When he pulls away, you give him the brightest grin before scrambling away to find more stones to skip. Kevin just watches, taking in the way your figure looks against the setting sun, bright gold and pale pink light streaming over your body, almost making you glow.
This is why he fell in love with you, he thinks. Your character, your tenacity, the way you throw yourself into every task you’ve been assigned so that you can complete it as best as you can. It doesn’t matter if you’re trying to treat a new cancer case at the hospital or trying to skip a stupid rock across the water. You always give it your all.
Idly, Kevin picks up a stone of his own. With a practiced flick of his wrist, it goes sailing onto the lake, skipping three, four, five times before sinking beneath the surface.
Falling in love with you is a bit like skipping stones, he thinks, watching the stone disappear from sight. Someone had to force him into that first blind date with you, much like making the first toss of the stone into the water, but every skip after that was quick, effortless, the way he felt himself falling for you, step by stumbling step, until his heart finally gave in and sank below the waves of your warmth.
It’s hard to imagine a time when he wasn’t in love with you, even though such a time did at one point exist. But the way you make him feel with the smallest things you do – the way you scrunch your eyebrows in confusion, the way you rest your chin on your hand in thought – it feels like he’s known you for an eternity and loved you even longer, loved you before time existed.
Your stone skips twice across the water and you shout with joy, racing up to Kevin to celebrate. He catches you when you leap at him, arms wrapping around your waist automatically, smiling into your shining face. Yes, he thinks, he’s in love.
He’s so in love with you.
. . . . .
i.
Kevin, by all definitions of the word, is panicking.
He’s been dreading this blind date for almost a month now, circling the day on his calendar and marking it D-Day, begging Jacob and Changmin to come along and hide in case he needs to be bailed out, relentlessly praying that he’ll be able to leave the stupid date in one piece.
(Look, as much as he appreciates Mrs. Park’s kindness and her brownies, she can be… a little overbearing. To say the least.)
Just a few hours ago, he was putting on his yellow sweater and bemoaning the existence of his pushy coworker. Just a few hours ago, he was lamenting his fate to his two friends (friends is a term he will use loosely for today – all they did was laugh at him). Just a few hours ago, he was cursing the existence of Mrs. Park and her brownies for getting him locked into this date with her sister’s kid. Wait, was it her sister? Or her brother?
(“Yes, her sister,” Changmin says, rolling his eyes. “Pay more attention, won’t you, Kev?”
Kevin groans. “Why couldn’t either of you be chosen by Mrs. Park, huh? Why me?”
“Because I have a partner and Jacob is good at disappearing.” Changmin grins that evil, evil grin he always has on just before he’s about to execute a prank on someone (usually Kevin).
“More like the two of you are good at leaving me to fend for myself against Mrs. Park, even though you know I can’t say no to shit,” Kevin grumbles.
“Give up her brownies,” Jacob suggests.
Kevin gasps. “No way in hell.”)
But now, he’s actually sitting across from you in a café not too far from his apartment, holding a cup of coffee between his (visibly shaking) hands. And he can’t even think of why he was dreading this date so much because you’re just… really, really perfect.
Why are you so sweet? he’s screaming inside. Why are you so funny? Why are you literally the perfect mix of snark and kindness and just – everything?
“So my aunt told me you work with her,” you say, seemingly oblivious to Kevin’s jitters. The smile on your face is really sending electricity racing through his heart. “I know the children must be fun, but I know she can be a bit… overbearing.” There’s a hint of apology in your eyes, like you know your aunt must have pressured him into this and you’re sorry that he had to come on a date with you.
Kevin’s stomach flip-flops. Okay, so Mrs. Park maybe did severely pressure and sweetly blackmail Kevin into a blind date. But Kevin also doesn’t want you to feel bad for it because it’s not your fault at all, so as usual, when he finds himself in a tight spot, his mouth decides it’s time to run.
“No, your aunt is really nice,” he starts. “I really mean it – she’s always very kind to the kids and to the rest of us teachers. I’m still kind of new compared to the rest of them – I’ve only been at the school for a few years now – but she helped me feel welcome that first year when I was still figuring things out. And she also likes Beyonce! You know, the greatest female artist there is? She let me play my entire playlist of Beyonce songs for her last year and she liked every single one of them!”
Kevin’s babbling now. Rambling. Whatever he wants to call it. His brain is screaming for him to stop talking but his mouth won’t stop running because this is what he does when he’s nervous. He talks. Endlessly.
Out of the corner of his eye, he sees the table where Changmin and Jacob are situated in case they need to rescue him from mental or physical harm. The top of Changmin’s head is barely visible behind a huge menu so Kevin can barely see his friend, but somewhere in his babbling haze, he notices a phone camera poking out from behind the menu.
If he wasn’t blushing before, he definitely is now.
Finally, his mouth listens to his brain and he trails off on his last thought on why Beyonce is the best artist in the entire world. There’s a second of silence.
“Sorry,” Kevin finally squeaks. “I… tend to ramble when I get nervous. Or when I talk about Beyonce.”
Your smile flashes even wider. Kevin is torn between wanting to melt into the ground out of embarrassment and staying upright to keep seeing that grin on your face.
“Don’t be sorry,” you laugh, fiddling with your cup of coffee. “I thought it was cute.”
Kevin’s face burns so much that he misses what you say next. “Sorry?”
You grin. “I’m always interested in hearing about a new artist to add to my playlist.”
Kevin lets out a theatrical gasp. “You don’t have Beyonce in your music library?”
A sheepish look spreads across your face. “… No?”
“Oh my God.” Kevin pulls out his phone. “Okay, I’m about to educate you on the artist of our time.”
The afternoon, then, passes in a flash. Changmin and Jacob eventually just up and exit the café (presumably with enough blackmail to last the rest of Kevin’s life – he knows he was acting like a complete fool, but luckily, you didn’t seem to care), leaving him alone with you. Under any other circumstances, he probably would’ve started crying, but you’re so sweet and so interesting that Kevin thinks he could stay and talk to you in this café forever.
He learns you’re an oncologist at a nearby children’s hospital, that even though the work is hard and tiring and sometimes overwhelmingly depressing, the strength of the children and the families you work with inspire you to keep going every day. He learns that you don’t have too much of a sweet tooth (though you won’t say no to ice cream or cheesecake, both of which he notes in his head), he learns that you love coffee, and he learns that you like to take walks in the park whenever you have a little bit of free time.
He also learns that you’re snarky, intelligent, driven, hardworking. He learns that you’re something far beyond the beauty of your face – that underneath your skin, there’s a heart that’s warmer than the sun.
Kevin understands that this is only the first date and that he maybe shouldn’t be making judgments so quickly. But he’s been told that he’s a relatively good judge of character, and the genuine look in your eyes when you talks speaks volumes about the person deep inside.
Even though you live further away, Kevin takes the bus with you to your home, citing that it’s only polite to walk one’s date to the door (in reality, he just wants to spend a little more time with you). As the bus rattles along the road, Kevin lets you listen to the songs on his phone, delighting in the way your head bobs to the beat of his favorite tracks.
Kevin’s a bit sad when you reach your apartment, sad that your time together is over for the day. He lingers outside the building for a moment, trying to work up the courage to ask about a second date.
Suddenly, you lean forward. Kevin jerks back – he briefly wonders if you’re trying to kiss him – but you just pat a spot on his sweater, frowning slightly at your fingers. “Is that… paint?”
Oh my God.
Kevin tugs the material of his sweater forward so he can see the spot you’re pointing at. Sure enough, there’s a small patch of red paint on the yellow fuzz. He groans. “I didn’t even notice.”
“Well, that’s what people like us get for working with children.” You roll your eyes comically, and Kevin bursts into laughter that’s definitely too loud for the small joke you made. Then silence falls again.
You break it. “Listen, Kevin.”
He perks up. “Hmm?”
“I’ll admit, I wasn’t exactly looking forward to this date because my aunt has been trying to set me up with people my age for several years now.” For the first time today, you look shy. “She was probably really pushy with you too, so I’m sorry about that. But I really enjoyed this afternoon.” You meet Kevin’s eyes. “If you’d like, I’d love to go on a second date.”
Kevin’s heart explodes. It really does. Sheer excitement courses through his veins, and he has to stop himself from smiling widely enough to mimic a god damn clown. “I’d love that,” he says trying to hide how eager he really is. “Um, I’ll say that I wasn’t exactly looking forward to this either, mostly because my experience with blind dates has had… limited success. But I’m really glad I met you. You’re a wonderful person.”
Your smile grows wider at Kevin’s admission. “Thank you, Kevin. You’re wonderful too.”
“Do you kiss on the first date?” he blurts out because his brain has no filter. Then he backtracks. “Um, it’s totally okay if you don’t, I was just asking, please don’t think I’m a creep –”
You briefly press your lips to his. Kevin shuts up.
When you break away, Kevin honestly thinks you’re glowing. “Does that answer your question?” you ask, bravely trying to hide something – is that embarrassment? Whatever it is, he thinks it’s adorable.
Kevin blushes. “Yes.”
People probably think he’s insane with the way he’s smiling on the bus ride back to his apartment. He can’t help it, though – the tingling touch of your lips, gentle against his, plays over and over in his mind, along with memories of your lovely voice and your lovely smile and your lovely, lovely disposition. Some people are giving him weird looks, and Jacob and Changmin are sure to tease him to no end when he comes in to work tomorrow.
But who cares? Kevin’s got a second date in the works with one of the most wonderful people he’s ever met.
In his mind, he’s on top of the world.
. . . . .
ii.
Usually, when Kevin gets lucky and scores a second date or a third, he suggests taking his date somewhere with children to gauge how they feel about small toddlers tearing up the place. Children are a huge part of Kevin’s life – he teaches elementary school and knows he wants kids when he gets a bit older – so one of the silent standards he’s set for potential significant others is that they have to like and be good with children.
You work at a children’s hospital, Kevin knows, so you must at least be good with kids, even if you might not like them (hey, it’s possible – Kevin has known many people who are good at things they hate). That fulfills half of the standard. He just needs to gauge the other half.
There aren’t many events at the school coming up, though – no plays, no art exhibitions, nothing he can really invite you to. He’s racking his brains for a third date somehow involving children when you unexpectedly call him about an event at the hospital.
“I know it’s last minute,” you apologize profusely, “but the guy who was supposed to come today for the kids’ music hour called in sick. I don’t want to cancel the event because they always look forward to it and I know you play the piano – would it be possible for you to fill in?”
It is possible, it turns out. He may not be able to pack his Yamaha upright into the back of your car, but he does have an electronic keyboard that fits into your trunk. The whole way there, you’re apologizing, but between reassurances that it’s totally fine, Kevin can’t help but anticipate how you’ll act around the children once the two of you arrive.
Setting up takes more time than he’d like (the extension cord that comes with his keyboard is too short, so you disappear on a twenty-minute manhunt for a longer one while Kevin just stands there awkwardly), which makes him feel slightly like a burden on the rest of your coworkers. They’re so polite, though, so genuine and kind, that Kevin eventually starts to feel more at ease.
(He’s still endlessly grateful when you return, extension cord clasped victoriously in one hand.)
Then the kids start trickling in, and Kevin’s heart immediately both breaks and melts. Some are in wheelchairs, others have lost their hair, but they’re all smiling with so much excitement, chattering to their parents and the staff around them as they settle on beanbags and pillows on the floor. Several look at him curiously and he smiles at them, prompting several questions about who he is, why there’s a keyboard and not a guitar, and why the normal guy isn’t here.
“The usual guy got sick and couldn’t come,” Kevin says to one sweet girl with chubby cheeks and shining eyes. “I’m just here to replace him for a day.”
“Do you play the piano?” she asks, shyly pointing at the keyboard, which more than a few curious souls are standing around.
Kevin smiles. “Yes, I do.” He would say more, maybe offer to show her the instrument a little, but then you’re walking over, and her eyes brighten. “Dr. L/N!” she cheers.
With a loud laugh, you swoop her up carefully, cradling the girl against your shoulder. “How are you, Daeun?” you ask, lips spread in a smile that Kevin knows can’t be faked.
The girl – Daeun – grins. “I’ve been good!” she announces proudly. “Are we going to start soon?”
You laugh again, settling her back down on the floor. Kevin thinks his heart melts with the way your eyes sparkle. “Yes, we are,” you say. “I see you’ve already met Kevin?”
“Your name is Kevin?” Daeun looks at him curiously. “Your name is strange.”
Kevin has to force himself not to coo. “I was born in Canada,” he says. “My Korean name is Hyungseo.”
Daeun’s nose scrunches. “I like Kevin more,” she decides with finality.
Kevin feels brave enough to pat her on the head. “Then you can call me Kevin.”
“All right, Daeun. Go find your mom, okay? Kevin and I are going to finish setting up, and then we’ll get started.” With a soft kiss on the forehead (Kevin makes a sound he really hopes you don’t hear – the scene is just too adorable), you send the small girl off, turning back to Kevin. “Shall we get started?” you ask, grinning widely.
It may only be the third date, but he’s falling in love, Kevin thinks, falling in love with your shining face and sparkling eyes, with the way you shower love upon the children you’ve placed under your care. Right now, you’re everything he’s ever wanted in a future partner – beautiful in character, kind, gentle, fiercely loving.
His heart pounds a little faster.
Belatedly, Kevin realizes you’re waiting for a response and nods quickly. “Yeah,” he breathes, eyes glancing over the sea of children waiting (somewhat) patiently. A smile to rival yours spreads across his face. “Let’s get started.”
. . . . .
iii.
Kevin loves the last Friday of every month, he really does. It’s been tradition for several years now to go out with Changmin and Jacob on what he calls nights for “the boyz” to eat cheap food and get drunk. And no matter how much the others complain about the stupid name (Kevin will admit it sounds stupid now, but that doesn’t mean he’ll change it), he knows they enjoy the nights all the same.
Sometimes, though, Kevin just wishes he had more of a filter on his mouth. If not that, then maybe his brain could stop remembering every single dumb thing he said or did on drunk nights out. It would make his life a lot easier if he could just forget being stupid.
But no, God decided to be mean when making Kevin Moon. So Kevin, as a result, is an emotional drunk. He cries a lot when he hears about sad or adorable things, he says a lot of stupid stuff to (badly) express his overwhelming feelings, and worst of all, he remembers all of it when he wakes up hungover the next morning.
(None of this stops him from getting drunk anyway. Kevin Moon doesn’t learn lessons when it comes to alcohol. When he falls on his face (sometimes literally), he just gets up again, even if it’s with a bloody nose.)
Luckily, the night doesn’t end in chaos. Even though Jacob, who’s half of Kevin’s impulse control, leaves after an hour (he’s meeting with his family the next day, so Kevin is obligated call him a noob – it’s like a law of physics or something), Changmin doesn’t seem to be in the mood to do weird things without Jacob there to stop him, so the night passes relatively smoothly without Kevin throwing, like, a tantrum or anything.
He gets close, though. Because damn, if Changmin isn’t so fucking adorable when talking about his partner. Buried in his purple hoodie, black hair peeking softly over the top, it’s impossible for Kevin not to tear up when Changmin begins gushing over his beautiful, amazing, wonderful significant other whom he just compared to stardust.
Stardust.
Kevin wants to scream, that’s so romantic.
When you come to pick him and Changmin up, Kevin can’t resist relaying all of this to you as soon as he gets in the car. Vaguely, he thinks he should be worried about Changmin hearing it and hitting him, but the boy is mostly asleep in the back, eyes only fluttering slightly when you go over a bump or something. After Changmin gets dropped off at his apartment, Kevin turns the gushing on full force.
“Y/N, the love of my life, he called her stardust,” he’s still babbling even as you strongarm him up to his own apartment. “He’s so adorable. Changmin is so adorable. Oh my God.”
He thinks you snort. Probably. It would be a normal response. “Didn’t you call him the spawn of Satan just a few days ago?”
Definitely a snort, Kevin thinks, but he’s too invested in Changmin’s loveliness to whine about you making fun of him. “Y/N,” he pouts instead, “listen to meeeeee.”
“I’m listening, I’m listening.” You grunt, catching him just as he misses the next step and almost falls forward. “Hey, be careful.”
“’M trying.” Kevin manfully does his best to stop the world from tilting on its side. “But Changminnie.”
“Yes, yes, Changminnie.” Even drunk, Kevin can make out the playful exasperation in your voice. “Keep going.”
“Thank you, love of my life.” Kevin tries to give you a kiss but his lips hit air instead of your cheek. “Heck.”
You burst into loud laughter. “Kevin Moon, you never told me you were this adorable when drunk.”
“Changminnie,” he says more insistently.
“Okay, yes, I’m listening.” You kiss his cheek instead, and Kevin almost topples over right then and there. “Hey, you can’t fall over whenever I kiss you. Tell me about Changmin.”
Kevin starts flailing his arms around as best he can. “He’s so cute!” he half-yells. “He told me his partner was like stardust because she’s so perfect and warm, but she’s also like stardust because… because…”
His lip juts out.
“Oh, no, don’t cry, Kev.” You stop moving, then Kevin registers you bundling him into a hug, patting his head. “I know you’re a sad emotional drunk, but don’t cry.”
“Not crying,” Kevin protests, visibly crying.
“Mhm.” You pat his head one last time before letting go. “Hey, give me a second, I’m going to unlock your door.”
There’s some fumbling and a quiet snick, then Kevin obediently follows you through the door of his apartment. Once inside, you press a thumb to the side of his face, brushing a tear away. “Tell me what Changmin said to make you sad.”
“Changminnie said he’s afraid she’ll… she’ll… slip away between his fingers. Like stardust.” Kevin feels like he’s going to start sobbing any moment now. “He’s afraid she’s going to leave him eventually because she’s too perfect and he’s not good enough.”
“Oh my God.” You sit down on the couch. Kevin follows suit, albeit a lot more ungracefully as he collapses onto a cushion in a tangle of limbs. “Oh my God, that’s so sad and cute at the same time.”
“I said he should call her his star,” Kevin mumbles, turning slightly so he can burrow into your side. “Because stardust. Texted them about it. Both of them.”
Your laugh sounds like music even to the drunken haze of his brain. “Wonder what they’ll think when they see a drunken keysmash on their phones first thing tomorrow morning.”
The two of you sit in silence for a bit. Kevin feels his eyes beginning to get droopy, and he almost falls asleep before a thought strikes him with lightning force.
“I need to give you a nickname!” he almost yells, sitting bolt upright. The movement makes the room spin, but he doesn’t care. This is urgent. “Changmin’s going to call her his star, but I haven’t given you a nickname yet!”
“Kev, Kev.” You hold him by the shoulders, and he relaxes a little. “You can come up with a nickname for me in the morning. Right now, I think you need to sleep.”
“No,” he whines, shifting in your grip. “This is important. You need a nickname.” He sinks into deep, drunken thoughts, the kinds of thoughts he has when he ignores everything around him in favor of getting philosophical after having drunk too much alcohol.
Then it hits him.
“Oh my God,” he gasps. “Oh my God.” It’s his turn to grab you by the shoulders, now. “Oh my God. You’re the sun. Because I’m the moon. Get it? Kevin Moon?”
Through his drunken haze, Kevin thinks he sees you smile, maybe. It looks like a smile.
Your eyes are sparkling. You look happy.
Probably a smile.
“I’m a genius,” he whispers. A genius for coming up with the nickname and for making you happy.
“Sure, Kevin.” You grunt a little as he shifts his weight. “Come on, get up. We’ll see if you’re still a genius tomorrow if you wake up and remember all of this.”
Kevin doesn’t register much for the rest of the night, just remembers falling into his bed and forcing you to lie down next to him. The next morning, he wakes up with a throbbing headache and the vague, ever-present worry that he said something stupid last night.
You’re not in the bed with him anymore. Kevin blinks once, twice, before trying to sit up so to figure out where you went. Then he remembers you don’t live here. You probably went home.
Which is why he nearly goes into cardiac arrest when you appear in his doorway, holding a mug of coffee and a glass of water.
For a moment, the two of you just stare at each other. Kevin’s not sure what thoughts are running through your head, but he knows he’s trying to piece together what happened last night, and whether or not he should be hiding under the covers out of embarrassment.
Then it hits him.
Sun.
Moon.
Genius.
Oh, God.
Kevin wants to die.
“Morning, sunshine,” he says, using your new nickname in the desperate hope that it’ll distract you from remembering the rest of what he said last night.
A catlike smirk curls your lips as you walk over, pressing the glass of water into his hands. A feeling of dread fills Kevin’s heart as he takes it.
“Morning, genius,” you say with enough evil delight to power Changmin for a year.
Kevin groans. “I was drunk.”
“Yeah, I noticed.” Your teasing smile melts into something gentler as you place your mug on the bedside table, turning to bring the glass of water in his hands to his lips. “Coffee’s mine, don’t touch it or I’ll break a bone. Drink the water. I made some breakfast, so come into the kitchen whenever you feel up to it. After you’ve brushed your teeth.”
Warmth courses through Kevin’s body, and it has nothing to do with the alcohol from last night and everything to do with how you’re here in body and mind, sweetly helping him recover from a stupid hangover even when it’s definitely not your problem to take care of and you probably have better things to do. His heart thumps, loud enough that he thinks you could probably hear it.
In this moment, Kevin doesn’t think he’s ever been more grateful for anything than you coming into his life.
“Got it.” He awkwardly tries to salute, but he does it with the hand holding the glass and the water nearly spills onto the bed. As his cheeks flush, you break into snorting giggles.
Even though it’s at his expense, Kevin thinks he would do anything, anything in the world, to keep that wonderful smile on your face and that musical laughter in the air.
. . . . .
iv.
Only when you move in together does Kevin realize just how taxing your job is. He had an idea from when you sometimes had to cancel or move around dates, but when you did meet up, you were usually energetic and cheerful. Of course, there were the token dates where you just came over to Kevin’s apartment or he came over to yours and you just flopped around for a few hours. Outside, though, you always showed a bright face.
But that was because dates were mostly on your days off or when your hours were short, and as a result, you felt good enough, energized enough to show Kevin your brilliant smile. When you first moved in together, Kevin felt a bit surprised – well, maybe not surprised, but saddened – that you didn’t have the energy to smile as brightly as he saw before.
It’s fine by Kevin, though. You smile often enough, and if your teeth don’t show as much as they used to, there’s something beautiful, something calming and sweet in the slower curve of your lips, the gentle, lethargic way you lean up for a kiss. After all, Kevin has enough energy to compensate for when you might lack some of yours.
(It helps that he can cook, he thinks. Even when the kids at school sometimes wear him out, the brief sparkle in your eye that spreads across your lips when you walk through the door to see him stirring something on the stove is more than enough to make up for it.)
You’re cute, too, when you’re tired. Though Kevin loves it when you’re energetic and ready for whatever the day has decided to throw in your path, there’s something so peaceful, so pleasant about feeling you lying lethargically against his side on the couch, scrolling through your phone or reading a book or just resting, doing nothing but breathing softly. Kevin cherishes those small moments, the soft atmosphere where he kisses your hair and you smile, reach up, and press a kiss of your own to his cheek.
Tonight is one of those nights, a night of soft, comforting silence, words few and far between. It’s been a bit warm lately, so Kevin’s elected to wear one of the tank tops he keeps for the warmer months instead of his usual sweater.
You sit next to him on the couch, back pressed to his side as you send off emails on your phone. Kevin’s working too, inputting grades on his laptop. He hums a little under his breath to take his mind off of the monotony of his task.
At some point, you finish, putting down your phone with a sigh and slumping into his ribs. Kevin starts at the sudden movement. “Sunshine,” he whines, even though he could really care less.
“Moon boy,” you parrot in the same tone of voice.
Kevin’s attention turns back to his laptop, so he barely registers you shifting on the couch to a new position. He does notice it, though, when your fingers start trailing along his skin, exposed by the lack of sleeves on his tank top, because your touch tickles.
You completely ignore his resulting twitch of surprise, only keep tracing the skin of his rib cage. Kevin looks down, confused as to what’s caught your attention.
Oh. His tattoos.
“Sunshine?” he asks softly, watching your fingers shift along his skin.
“Mm,” you hum, eyes still fixated on the ink decorating his side.
“Sleepy?”
Slowly, you shake your head, fingers paused on the image of Mickey Mouse. “Not yet.”
He goes back to inputting grades, all the while still aware of your fingers tracing the lines, the curls, the swirls of black ink along his side. When he finishes, he looks over before closing his laptop to see your eyes still focused on his skin.
Something in his heart explodes, spreading a tingly, comforting warmth throughout his body. It’s a feeling he’s come to associate with your presence, a feeling of absolute security, absolute trust, absolute warmth that comes with falling in love with you.
You look up, noticing his lack of movement. “Finished, moonbeams?”
“First moon boy, now moonbeams?” Kevin teases you lightly, picking up the hand you were using to trace his skin and pressing a soft kiss to your knuckles. Just like every other time he’s ever done it, a wide smile spreads across your face and a shyness sparkles in your eyes, as though you still can’t believe the bliss of the moment.
(At least, that’s what Kevin feels every time you do something to remind him that he’s yours.)
Your voice breaks into his thoughts. “Can’t call you moonshine, that’s an alcohol.” You shrug as best as you can in your stretched-out position. “Moonbeams, moon boy… whatever feels right.”
Kevin puts his laptop on the coffee table. As he leans back into the couch, you curl up into him, one hand still lingering against the Mickey Mouse tattoo on his side. “Tell me about these?” you ask, pressing your fingers a bit more firmly against the ink.
His tattoos are personal, serving as reminders of the past and inspiration to keep moving. Rarely does he share their meanings with anyone (not that people usually ask, because the tattoos are mostly covered by his clothes), and only with those who mean the world to him.
Kevin thinks you qualify as one of them.
Touching your shoulders, he turns you around slightly, just enough to press a short, sweet kiss to the top of your head. “Of course, sunshine.” He smiles, gazing into your eyes, feeling the warmth of your love travel through his limbs. “Which one first?”
. . . . .
v.
Kevin Moon, for the majority of his life, has hovered in between being classified as a morning person or a night owl. Yes, he gets up at six in the morning for a cup of coffee, but he also stays up past midnight doing… stuff. Grading, writing reports, watching cat videos, wasting time.
(When Changmin judges his lifestyle, Kevin just reminds him that he fell in love with his roommate’s hookup and is on a dance team with the parent of one of his students.)
Honestly, if Kevin didn’t remind himself every so often that he’s currently a full adult, his lifestyle would make him think he was still in college. He certainly still acts like it when he isn’t working. Procrastinating? Check. Crying over reports he needs to submit at three a.m.? Check. Flopping around on the floor when life is going badly? Check.
And most importantly: nonexistent sleep schedule? Check.
You put a stop to that real quick when you move in, both directly and indirectly. Directly, you make an appointment for him at a sleep clinic after figuring out his shitty sleep patterns, and Kevin finds out he probably has mild insomnia. The aftermath is horrible – you put him on a strict sleep schedule and all but ban caffeine from his diet (goodbye, morning coffee) – but it helps, after a couple of weeks. He sleeps better. Perks of having a partner who works in medicine.
Indirectly, though, you probably make a bigger difference.
See, the way Kevin thinks about it, he just never had a lot of reasons to stay in bed very long. Even though he appreciates sleep, really appreciates it on long days, it’s just that he can’t really force it if it doesn’t want to come. He’d also rather be doing something productive (or not productive, depends on the asker’s perspective) than lying awake for hours, anyway.
But now that he’s waking up to a face he loves?
Well, even if you sometimes disappear before he wakes (hospital hours are whack as hell, but sadly, you can’t ignore your job), Kevin will just say your warmth is a powerful incentive to stay huddled under the covers, even if he can’t fall back asleep.
He still wakes up every morning to grey light beginning to peek through the window. No matter how hard he tries to sleep in just a little longer, his body can’t seem to stay unconscious past six in the morning, so both of you have just resigned yourselves to the fact that Kevin will always be an early riser.
Before you walked into his life, he would’ve rolled out of bed almost immediately, stumbled to the bathroom (and maybe knocked his knee against the doorframe, who knows), then started brewing coffee in the kitchen to start the day.
Now?
A drowsy smile begins to make its way across Kevin’s face, soft as the morning light, when his brain catches up to the present and he registers your warmth under the covers. Sleepily, he blinks, taking in the sight of your peaceful face buried halfway in the sheets.
You shouldn’t look this beautiful, Kevin thinks, not with your hair strewn all over the pillow, blankets rumpled around your shoulders, arms outstretched so that one sort of curls over his body while the other is held up to your chest. It’s the morning – no one should look pretty and put-together. That isn’t natural.
(Unless you happy to be Kim Younghoon, but that’s another story.)
Yet you somehow look like a sleeping deity in Kevin’s mind, even with your hair a mess and drool drying on the pillowcase. As the drowsiness clears from his eyes, as the light from the window grows brighter, Kevin can barely even think of moving, of disturbing your peace.
He dislikes your alarm. It’s loud, annoying, and hits him with a jolt when he’s just trying to take these stolen morning moments to admire your beauty. When he complains about it the first time, you tell him to serve as the alarm, to wake you up himself.
Kevin counters that he’s an artist, that he needs peace and quiet to give beauty of such a degree the respect it deserves. You just roll your eyes, telling him that if he isn’t going to wake you up, the alarm’s going to have to take that job. The smile on your face, though, and the brief kiss you press to his lips right after, speaks volumes for the emotions Kevin’s words make you feel.
(He loves flustering you like this, even if you pretend his words don’t make you feel some sort of way.)
So eventually, you wake, eyes fluttering as the alarm brings you back to the conscious plane. Kevin’s heart feels like it’s bursting when your eyes fully open, blearily blinking at the world.
“Morning, sunshine,” he whispers, running one hand through your hair.
You lean slightly into the touch, the corners of your lips twitching up. And every day, as he stares into your sleepy eyes, lips curling as you whisper a quiet “Morning, moon boy” in reply, Kevin knows he’s falling, falling in love with every part of you.
. . . . .
+i.
Kevin’s waiting in front of the school when you pull up at the curb. Smiling apologetically, he gives you a quick kiss on the cheek as you step out of the car. “Sorry, sunshine.” He gestures at the two small boys standing beside him, absorbed in their own world. “Their uncle’s running late and Changmin and Jacob have things to do, so I need to wait for Sangyeon to pick them up before we can go.”
“No worries.” You return the kiss, smiling as bright as the sun. Kevin feels a flash of pride for coming up with a nickname that fits you so well. “We have the whole afternoon, don’t we?”
“That, we do.” He grins, squeezing your hand.
“Mr. Moon, who’s that?” a small voice asks closer to the ground. The two of you turn to see Sunwoo and Eric trotting over, curious looks on their faces.
Kevin looks over at you, but you’re already bending down to get to eye level with the two boys. “Oh, hello!” Your grin, if possible, grows wider. “I’m Y/N, Kevin’s significant other. What are your names?”
“I’m Eric,” Eric pipes up. “This is my brother, Sunwoo.”
Sunwoo just stares with round eyes. Well, he’s always been the shyer of the two.
“Those are lovely names,” you reply smoothly, giving Sunwoo an encouraging smile. Kevin feels his heart melt completely at how well you interact with the kids. “I’m just going to be waiting with Kevin until your uncle picks you up, is that okay?”
The two kids nod and immediately go back to babbling in their own little world. Kevin notices the fond smile on your face, and his heart melts even more.
“They’re so cute,” you whisper to him.
“I know, right?” Kevin clutches his heart dramatically. “Can you imagine teaching them every day?”
Just as you’re shaking your head in comic disbelief, another car pulls up behind yours. A harried-looking young man quickly exits and Eric and Sunwoo cheer, distracted by the arrival of their uncle.
“Sorry about this,” Sangyeon says, absentmindedly patting Eric’s head as the boy hugs his leg. Sunwoo seems to be attempting to climb onto his uncle’s back. “Traffic wasn’t the kindest when I was getting out of work.” Then he notices you. “Oh, hello. Are you Kevin’s partner?”
“That I am.” You stick out a hand. “I’m Y/N, and I’ve been told you’re Sangyeon?”
Sangyeon nods, smiling. “Nice to meet you. And to see that Kevin’s found someone to deal with his antics.”
Kevin blushes as you laugh. “Hey,” he complains. “No jokes at my expense, please.”
“Sure, moonbeams.” You roll your eyes, then turn back to Sangyeon. “It’s nice to meet you. Your nephews are adorable.”
The smile that Sangyeon gives the two boys clambering around him says it all. “They are, aren’t they?” He checks his watch. “I’m sorry, I have to go now. My sister’s expecting us back soon, and I’m already a bit late.”
Kevin breathes a sigh of relief. No more teasing at his expense from Sangyeon, at least, though there’s no guarantee from you. “Nice seeing you, Sangyeon. And have a good day, kids.”
A small chorus of “You too, Mr. Moon!” sounds, and Kevin expects that to be the end. Sangyeon will herd the boys into the car, Kevin will follow you into yours, and then you’ll go your separate ways. What he doesn’t expect is for Sunwoo to look out at you from behind his uncle’s leg, round eyes cautiously curious, and ask you a question.
“Y/N?”
Immediately, you turn around, teasing smirk melting into a gentle smile for the small boy. “Yes, Sunwoo?”
Sunwoo’s eyes dart between you and Kevin. Then, softly, shyly – “Do you love Mr. Moon?”
Time seems to stop as Kevin’s breath hitches in his throat at the sudden question, but you only look back at him, eyes soft and sparkling in the sunlight.
Your answer glitters in your gaze.
Though you’re supposed to be talking to Sunwoo, your eyes stay fixed on Kevin, strong and unyielding, yet gentle and affectionate, as you answer. Your voice is soft when you reply. “Yes, Sunwoo. I do love him.” The smile on your face grows wider as you turn back to the child. “I love him very much.”
Indescribable warmth floods Kevin’s chest and tears prick his eyes. And as Sangyeon hurries his nephews away, as you turn around to unlock your car, one truth burns with absolute, crystal-clear certainty in his mind.
He isn’t falling in love with you, not anymore. No, he’s far past that stage.
Kevin Moon is completely, wholly, irrevocably in love with you.
“Kevin?” You look at him from the other side of the car. “You coming?”
A wide grin spreads across his face as he meets your sparkling eyes. Love blooms in his chest.
“Coming, sunshine.”

Work, work, work
Day 15: Cockwarming
Warnings/Other Kinks: Anxiety/Depression implications and mentions (Doppo is just like thattt), Doppo kinda snaps at the end, office sex/sex at work, dubcon (there's not explicit consent in this so I'm going to put it just in case but the reader and doppo are in a relationship and I meant for this situation to be consensual, but Doppo's anxiety in this situation made it seem kind of sus)
I have nothing but Hypmic on the brain. I love feral screaming Doppo. Would highly recommend listening to him belly scream here. :D I really do want the best for this boy tho. I love him so muchhhh.
Disclaimer: 18+ years and older to read. All characters in this work are 20 years or older. This is a fictional depiction of a relationship and is not meant to be mimicked in real life. I do not condone cockwaming your partner in their place of work irl.
It was always work, work, work with him. Well, work and rapping but Doppo hardly ever talked about his Matenro. It was always about his balding asshole of a boss, his terrible coworkers and work, work, work.
You knew he was a workaholic. You knew that when you fell in love with the guy. But geez. Time for him to learn that self care was a priority.
You had stormed to his office after having spent two hours - past the time he was supposed to get off - waiting for him at home. This overtime was bullshit. The man worked himself to the bone. And he didn't know how to say no. You worried about him! It was the reason why you marched right over to the cubicle. The place was deserted, all except for poor Doppo, sitting at his desk pinching the bridge of his nose and surrounded by paperwork.
"What the hell is all this?" You asked as you came up behind him and you almost felt bad watching as the man let out a shout, jumping out of his seat and scrambling like a frightened rabbit. A few of the papers he had on his desk got caught up in his whirlwind and dusted around the room - a fact you assumed Doppo would be disgruntled about later, but he looked far too nervous right now as he took labored breaths and let wide eyes take in your form.
"Wh-what are you doing here?"
".... You're being worked too hard if the sound of your girlfriend's voice is enough to panic you," you quipped back, ignoring his question for now as you bent over to try to help organize some of the scattered documents that had fallen to the floor. Let him have the time to bring his breathing back to normal. You were mainly pissed at his job for overworking him - not so much him. Didn't need to go give him a heart attack. "You're here late again. I was checking in on you." A pile of paperwork stacked against your chest, you moved over closer to him to set it down on the desk and took your time eyeing the assortment of work he had lying around. This couldn't all be his. Some of them must be pawning off their work, and Doppo just so happened to be the biggest doormat around. A sigh heaved from your lips, and you didn't miss the way Doppo shuddered. How could you? The man tensed up like he was being shot by lightening. "Looks like it was a good thing I did too. This work would have kept you here all night if someone didn't come to stop you."
"I'm sorry!" You weren't surprised but the volume of his apology made you jump and as he started to spew off more and more apologies, you quickly grabbed him by the tie and yanked him in, pressing a quick kiss to his lips. You weren't trying to invalidate his feelings by cutting him off, but there was no reason for him to be panicking like he was. And luckily, kisses from you always seemed to soothe him - at least as soothed as someone like Doppo could be.
"Baby," you purred gently, pulling your lips from his and watching the way his cheeks lit up with a dusting of pink. Always so stressed, this one. But the face he made after you kissed him made your heart flutter. Dumbfounded but he still managed to swoon in subtle ways - those aquamarine eyes zoomed in on you like you were treasure. The simple strokes you gave to his hair made him melt - the tension zapped out of his shoulders and he almost started to slump into you. "You don't have to say sorry. But it's time to go home now. No more work."
That cute daze in his expression only lasted a moment more before it was like all that anxious energy plowed right back into him. The word 'work' was enough to flip a switch with him. "That's not right! I have a whole ton of it!" His arm extended outward, waving at the stacks piled high. "I'm sorry but I have more work to do. I'll finish as soon as I can but - I gotta do this or my crazy boss will pile even more work on me! Or I'll lose my job or worse I-ll-"
"Doppo!" You cut him off and tried to calm him down. It worked to some extent but only enough to keep him from screaming or spiraling into one of his crazes. You didn't convince him to stop working though and eventually you had to settle for watching him drown himself in the work in front of him, trying to suppress your groans.
You loved the man. But really?
Playing the waiting game wasn't something you were interested in though. Which is why, after a bit of working, you somehow managed to not only weasel your way into his lap but you also got his cock out of his pants, stroking it just enough to get him riled up as you watched him try not to panic.
"You can't just do that-"
"I just did. Don't worry. The cameras can't see in here. It's fine," you coaxed, letting him stay nervous anyway as you pushed your panties to the side from underneath your skirt causing him to visibly gulp. But he wasn't pushing you off.
"I have to work," he declared, whispers on the verge of being shouts fell from his lips but cut off into a whimper as the head of his dick was suddenly being warmed up by the heat of your body as you slowly sank down onto him - taking him in inch by inch.
It wasn't until you were fully seated to the hilt, listening to his breath hitch that you gave a tiny huff. "Then work." And your body stilled. No movement other than the flutter and clench of your walls against your hung lover, letting your eyes watch his flustered face. He clearly didn't know what to say and you watched as his gaze flickered around like a chicken with its head cut off - to your face, to his paperwork, to where your bodies were joined and then anywhere but you. Good. Get him riled up. He was panicking but you could feel him twitch inside of you, like he was anticipating for you to move - waiting for it. But you kept your hips locked in place as you leaned in and rested your head on his shoulder. "Work, Doppo. Just giving you some motivation for when you finally get done." Your voice was much to kindly for someone who just pulled somebody's dick out in the middle of a public office. But it managed to keep him from tipping over his brink just yet. Poor thing always got so worked up. Your physical actions may not be helping that necessarily, but your voice always seemed to soothe him over, even if it was only a little at a time.
"H-how?" You listened to him practically squeak, shifting under you and instantly giving a whine at the slight push against your walls. How was he supposed to work when you were on him like this? How was he supposed to concentrate when you were constricting around him? When you were filling him with molten lava from the bottom up?
With feather light kisses, you trailed a line across his neck, trying to remain still on the cock that was stretching out your insides - forcing the urge to bounce on him like a pogo stick until you both lost even the capability to think of work. You would behave somewhat for now though. Doppo could get his work done. You could get some form of closeness in the meantime. Besides, maybe a good vise grip on him could speed up the process? Or make him say 'fuck it' altogether - hopefully, literally fuck it. "Just work, Doppo. Since it's so important. Ill wait," you cooed, almost as if you were being thoughtful. Too sweet for him to argue and you listened to him give a defeated groan of a sound before he tried to level out his breath and refocus.
Oh, but that was easier said than done. Doppo had restarted on the paperwork, working around you as your warm body nuzzled into his chest. He usually felt like he was suffocating at work but right now, it felt like your body was trying to strangle the life out of him from somewhere other than the neck. How were you so tight? How come velvety walls were squeezing down on him over and over again without either of you even moving? You were starting to leak out around him, a sticky mess starting to spill out onto his lap slowly - torturous. Maybe you were actually trying to be sweet. Maybe you were actively trying to mess with him. But either way, it was kicking up a bad habit within him. He would reach for another stack, shifting in the chair and causing the tiniest of mewling to escape from your lips. It was a blissful sigh here, a hitched breath there, a tiny hum into his chest and it was going to break him. He was supposed to be focusing but at this rate, he was going to start making mistakes on his work.
You were causing him to silently work himself up. Each climb of his emotions resulted in a string of jitters, and in return had your body clenching even tighter on him. How could you even feel like that? He choked, tugging at his tie to try and gasp for air. You were messing with him. You had to be. You must be mad he wouldn't leave. This was his retribution. To be strangled by your wet cunt over and over without reprieve- without any motion for relief. Well, fuck that. He may love you. But he worked far to hard day in and day out. Pent up didn't even begin to describe it. If you were going to try to rile him up like that, then he would give you riled up because he couldn't take it. Not a second longer. Not with that familiar primal darkness beginning to flare inside him.
His body rocked and you instinctively lifted your head from his chest to peer up at him, the first actual movement he had made since you had sat on him. "Are you okay?"
"O-okay?" He was stuttering his words but unlike his panic from before, this time he sounded angry. It wasn't a tone he took entirely too often. But you knew Doppo. You knew if his buttons were pressed enough, he would snap. He was tea kettle, getting hotter- "how do you except me to be okay-" and hotter "- when your purposely trying to make me-" until he screamed "-loose my fucking mind!?"
You only had enough time to widen your eyes before he flew out of his chair, taking you with him and slamming you onto his desk. The noise he made was positively feral - teetering between a growl and a scream - and without a warning, he was wrecking you, bludgeoning into you with a speed you hadn't even been aware he was capable of.
"D-D-Doppo!" You were trying to talk but the sudden thrusting was knocking out your capabilities to think. You had been stretched out and horny for a while now but at this pace you couldn't keep up. You were trying to grip at his shoulders for some type of stability. "H-hang on a sec-"
"Hang on?!" He sounded unhinged - a growl ringing in the back of his throat so different from his usual meek - if not panicked - composure. "I've been hanging on! I've been hanging on this whole time! You just had to be on me huh? When I'm at work!" Papers were tossing up into the air around you and you could hear the clatter of the cubicle as he knocked you into the desk over and over. Oh, you couldn't even keep your eyes opening with the way your senses seemed to overload. "All this work - all these damn excuses to pile it onto me - and then you still come in here and give me more work. Too needy? Need my to pound you senseless before I can finish my work? Then that's what I'll do. I'll take you over and over and over again until you're out for days!" He declared, his hands clamping down on your hips and you could already feel the bruises even as the head of his cock shifted up enough to find your sweet spot, leaving you wailing out. "Again and again and again!" He got louder and louder with his sounds, growls and grunts turning into wanton groans and gasps as he split you in two.
This would teach you not to mess with him at work. Or maybe it would teach you to mess with him more.
